I had low expectations for this game, and I have to say: I was very pleasantly surprised. First off, this is NOT a platformer like older Yoshi games. If you go into this game expecting that, you’ll dislike it. Second, this game can be short if all you do is go from point A to point B; this game is all about experimentation and exploration. That said, the experimentation and exploration are incredibly fun, and this game is packed full of charm. There were so many times I verbally stated, “Oh, that is SO neat!” Visuals are great, audio cues are good, music is fine, but the overall experience was such a delight.

If your child is 7 - 11 age range this game is for them. If you are older then that you might find this game very childish. Its a good fun game but meant for kids. Not very challenging.

The game is charming, colorful, and full of creative levels. The puzzles are fun and engaging without being too difficult, making it perfect for younger players while still being enjoyable for the whole family. The beautiful storybook-style world is a joy to explore, and the attention to detail makes every level feel unique. Overall, this is a wonderful game with plenty of adventure, creativity, and family-friendly fun.

In a world where our senses are being assaulted in every direction by "bigger, better, and more," Yoshi and the Mysterious Book dares players to take a moment and slow down. With no time limits, health meter, life counter, or even a game over screen; this game invites you to kick back wherever you are and forget the stress of the real world while you explore a vivid world full of character. The gameplay loop is reminiscent of the N64 classic Yoshi's Island in the sense that players are highly encouraged to take their time exploring every corner of the map! Each creature Yoshi investigates will interact with Yoshi, the world, and other creatures in often surprising ways, pushing you to see what else there is to discover before moving on. As you learn more about these creatures, you'll even see them popping up in future stages, allowing you to combine prior knowledge with new ideas, leading to discoveries you might not have made if you weren't paying close attention. With all of the love and attention packed into each stage, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book successfully brings the classic joys of Yoshi into full HD glory with new and unexpected ways to play! The best part? You play your way! Will you investigate all of the creatures, or only enough to progress? Which color Yoshi will you play as? How many creature notes can you uncover? I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun and engaging way to fill their time.

Excellent game by yoshie. In 2D, oil graphics. Great level design. Special for those who are complete. It looks great on my Nintendo Switch 2.

I’ve been having a great time with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. The game is charming, relaxing, and full of secrets to discover. One of my favorite features is how each chapter feels like a storybook world with hidden collectibles, creatures to research, and plenty of optional content. I also like that it encourages exploration instead of rushing through levels. I’ve been working toward 100% completion, and there’s much more to do than I initially expected. If you enjoy platformers, collecting secrets, and colorful adventures, this is an easy recommendation.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is a charming and relaxing adventure that focuses more on exploration and discovery than on difficult platforming. Instead of fighting enemies, you'll spend most of your time interacting with strange creatures, solving light puzzles, and uncovering secrets inside a magical storybook world. The hand-crafted art style is beautiful, and the game constantly rewards curiosity.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book delivers a charming adventure filled with colorful worlds, light puzzles, and accessible platforming. Its storybook presentation creates a welcoming atmosphere for players of all ages. While the challenge level remains modest, the creativity, collectibles, and cheerful design make it an enjoyable family-friendly experience overall.

The Yoshi games are fun and this one has a more unique gimmick. Your objective is to fill out an entire encyclopedia of every creature you encounter. You’ll need to experiment with the gameplay and environments in every way possible, and it makes for some good, if often repetitive, replay-ability. It is worth your time if you’re up for it.

I haven't finished the game yet, but it has been such a fun experience to play. I'm not a great video game player, but sure it keeps you tinkering and creating new ways to see the colorful environments. Definitely reccomend to everyone and anyone, whether they are into video games or not!

Any standalone Yoshi game is always top notch and this one is no exception. All the colors of the Yoshi and all the colors of the rainbow make this a colorful and fun experience. Five stars highly recommend

As the review title says, it is a game made for kids. It has a drawing/color book style with platforming and puzzle solving. If you're a fan of Yoshi or even just want something to relax with, this game will do it for you.

My son loves to find and explore all the story scenes and characters available in the game. Occasionally, he struggles with the objective to complete a scene, but that is what Dad and YouTube are for.

I think this game is great! Yoshi is one of my favorite characters in general but I love this this is similar to yoshi wooly world with finding the flowers and such.

Son loves this game and finds it challenging enough for his age (7). I like the game as well and play it with him occasionally. I would recommend this game to any Mario/Yoshi loving kid or adult.

Great game -1 Star because Crafted World is better on the Switch 1. Better graphics and gameplay on crafted, however this is actually a decent little game, especially if you are trying to 100% everything.

Very stress-free, cozy exploration game, lots of neat little interactions between characters and elements. Not a big fan of the music but got around 30 hours of playtime out of this which is a lot for a Yoshi game.
