If you’re serious about protecting both your screen and your privacy, the ZAGG Privacy Screen Protector for the iPhone 17 Pro Max is honestly a game-changer. From the moment I installed it, I could tell this wasn’t just another flimsy screen protector. The fit is precise, the glass feels premium, and it doesn’t take away from the stunning display quality at all. What really stands out, though, is the privacy filter. Looking straight at the screen, everything is crystal clear—but the second someone tries to peek from the side, the display goes dark. It’s perfect for using your phone in public places like coffee shops, airports, or even just sitting next to someone. I was a little worried that the privacy layer might make the screen dim or affect touch sensitivity, but that hasn’t been my experience at all. Brightness still looks great, and the touch response is just as smooth as using the phone without a protector. Face ID works flawlessly too, which was a big plus. Another thing I appreciate is how resistant it is to fingerprints and smudges. My screen stays cleaner for longer, and when it does need a wipe, it cleans up easily. The privacy feature is excellent — if you hand the phone to someone sitting across from you, they won’t be able to see the screen. It limits the viewing angle to about 45 degrees from center. Performance is great, and the added thickness provides strong scratch protection and overall screen durability. I’ve been using the ZAGG privacy screen protector for a while now and overall I’m really impressed. The privacy feature works really well when someone looks at my phone from the side, the screen goes dark so they can’t see what I’m doing, which is perfect when I’m in public places like class, restaurants, or on the bus. From straight on, the screen is still clear and easy to see. The protector also feels really durable and high quality.

First time using a privacy screen and the 360 degrees privacy feature is spot on.

Installation was a lot easier than I expected. The alignment tray made it simple and it lined up perfectly on the first try. The screen still looks bright and clear when I’m using it, and the privacy feature really works from the sides. Touch response feels completely normal and Face ID works without any issues. The lifetime warranty from ZAGG is another reason I went with this one. It makes the price easier to justify knowing it’s covered long term. Overall, very happy with it and would definitely buy it again.

Excellent sound quality worth ever bit of value that cost

Having used ZAGG screen protectors for over a decade, it seemed like a no brainer to stick with ZAGG for the 17 Pro Max….I was wrong. The dimensions of the screen protector are short on every side. As a result, there is light bleeding out of every side. After contacting ZAGG about the problem, they informed me that “Our screen protection products are designed to be case friendly with a wide variety of case manufacturers, as such the item is cut short on all sides so it does not interfere with the case products.”. While this may be a valid excuse when talking about not covering the very edges of the screen’s glass, this excuse doesn’t hold when the screen protector has been cut so short that it now doesn’t cover all of the active screen area. Besides, no one is putting a case on their phone that wraps around the front of the glass and covers active areas of the screen. Overall, extremely poor product design - stay away from ZAGG screen protectors for this iPhone generation.

Literally crack the very first day of installation

First, the screen was really easy to install. I like the privacy when using the phone. You can’t see a thing if you’re right next to me. Love that the screen doesn’t get dirty like other brands. Very resistant to drops. My phone had a significant accident. Really thought I would not have a phone anymore. The screen only had little braking on two of the corners, there is two small lines on the screen. But they are so small you can’t really see them. They are almost impossible to see. Notice them by a chance I would say. I carry my key in my purse where I put my phone. No scratches yet from that either. So a great buy well worth the price. We will see about the warranty if they replace it.

I use my phone all day long including in public places and I need to keep my privacy intact and this screen does a great job on letting me see my phone clearly without anybody else seeing my information and it also keeps my phone protected. This is not my first product from ZAGG, I get a protector for every phone I own and I often sell it with it too, it makes it a good selling point. Not only do I get the screen protector I also get other ZAGG products like the cases that look amazing and protect my phone too. I drop my phone a lot and having an added protection is a must for me and this screen does that as well as keeping my screen private. It is easy to install especially because the box makes it easier to do so. I can use my fingerprint to unlock my phone and I do not see my fingerprints on the screen so that is a plus. It fits perfectly and I am happy with it, I will keep coming back to ZAGG because it keeps my phone protected and private. It keeps my phone looking great and scratch free.

I’ve always been a little hesitant to use cases and screen protectors on my phones because I feel as though the phone was built strong enough to stand on its own. That said, I’ve seen plenty of cases where both protective accessories were absolutely necessary. Still, I always want something like that to serve multiple purposes. That’s why I like the privacy screen protectors like this one. For me the most infuriating part of using a screen protector is the installation. ZAGG has made that part quite easy with their PerfectFit installation box that comes with the screen protector. I do recommend cleaning your phone’s screen thoroughly before pulling the pull-tab back. Installing this screen protector was one of the easiest things I’ve ever walked through. Surprisingly enough, I didn’t have any issues with the installation. Because this is a dark screen protector, I did notice that it darkened the brightness of my phone slightly, but I can still read things on my screen fine. The screen is still very responsive to regular touch commands and while some people might have issues with it, I haven’t noticed any scratches on the screen protector yet. This is a high-quality screen protector with simple installation. It runs about the same as some solid cases, but it feels worth it once you see how well it’s made. It’s the kind of accessory that feels built to match the quality of the phone it’s protecting, not just cover it.

I've always had a glass screen protector on my phones ever since they first started coming out with them. Much easier to install, more durable and offer better protection than the older PET film type. However I've always used the clear ones and never thought about the privacy ones. Previously, I tried the privacy tinted screen protectors but found them to be too dim for normal use. I had them on much older iPhones and the film type, not the glass ones mind you. However, with my 17 Pro Max, I figured a change would be nice so I decided to try out the privacy ones on my new phone. As with glass screen protector, this one went on super easy. The kit comes with an easy apply setup so all you need to do it line up your phone, pull the paper sleeve and it installs in a jiffy. I guess with the newer technology or the fact that it's glass, the dimness I had encountered with previous ones was gone. There is some dimness to the screen with this on but not nearly as bad as it was before. The added privacy with this on is quite nice. From most normal viewing angles, everything is clear and easy to see. But just when you move the angle a touch, that's when the privacy kicks in which is great. I'm actually liking this setup much more than with the clear protector.

I bought this phone protector at Best Buy and I'm really very satisfied with the purchase. From the first moment it feels of good quality, resistant and well designed. The installation was quite easy and was perfectly adjusted to the phone, without bubbles or problems. I really like that it protects the screen well without affecting touch sensitivity, something that is very important to me. In addition, it maintains the clarity of the screen, does not distort the colors and you hardly notice that it is on. I also feel that it gives good security against blows and scratches, which gives me peace of mind on a daily basis.

If you love privacy screen, this is an amazing product. It’s blocks the screen from all angles. It keeps your screen protected. I definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a quality privacy screen. Also, get total tech membership, you get lifetime replacement with Zagg and Best Buy will cover it. I will say I did switched the normal one as it worked too well and I don’t have nothing to hide haha.
