Originally I was intending on waiting for Ringke's clear cases to be released on Amazon, but I accidentally stumbled upon this clear Zagg case in person. The official clear Samsung MagSafe case was highly disappointing with how flimsy it felt, and I couldn't realistically trust it to safe much if I dropped it screen-side down. It was a nice surprise to instead find a clear case that protects the front, back, and hinge that I could buy in person. There's a lip that exceeds both the front screen and quite a bit out from the cameras. This doesn't do anything to ease the wobbling, but it lessens the chances of dropping the phone on the ground save for a well-placed rock or something. The magnetic strength is a bit disappointing but serviceable, not quite as strong as the official Samsung clear case. My biggest gripes are: the left flap on the front screen is very loose and flimsy, with nothing anchoring it to be flush with the screen; and, from what I understand the hinge cover itself is supposed to be magnetic, but I could hardly tell as there's almost always a gap between the cover and the hinge itself. The only way I knew for sure that it was magnetic was that the hinge cover accidentally picked up a loose staple once. I'd say the price is ludicrous, but at least there's bundle deal discount if you buy it in the same order with a Zagg screen protector. The quality of the plastic itself feels sound and I trust dropping it from most reasonable heights, but don't expect the hinge to be spared from dust or other loose debris.

If you're looking for a case that is clear with magnets so you can use magsafe accessories, then this is an excellent case for you. The case is clear and shows off the color of your phone. The case is slip but still feels like it will protect the phone if dropped. the magnets are strong. Unlike other cases, this case comes in 2 pieces but are attached together with small hinges at the top and bottom. This makes the case feel like it's one piece. The case also comes with a hinge protection built in, without it feeling too bulky. All that plus Zagg will send you a replacement if anything goes wrong with the case.

This really is a fairly nice Z Fold8 case that protects and shows off the phone’s color. It is tough and durable (so far) and fits the Fold8 very well. There are two things to note: one, the left edge of the outer (smaller) screen is a bit floppy and loose. Some other case manufacturers include an adhesive strip to hold this in place. This is really quite a minor issue though. Two, the hinge cover stays open, away from the Fold8’s hinge exposing it, when you close the phone after an extended period of time with it open. You can sort of push it back into place, but there is quite a bit of resistance. Eventually, it relaxes a bit and then you can push it closed so that it covers the hinge as expected. It appears to be a “living” hinge, one that is simply a thinner plastic on the side of the hinge that allows it to be flexible enough to bend, but historically, these hinges have a limited life span as the plastic loses elasticity or hardens and then breaks. This would have been a much better design if it was a more standard type of hinge that is a separate piece with springs to hold it in position. Time will tell if this hinge reacts as most “living” hinges do.

...until I bought something similar off of Amazon and it did not fit. This one fits perfect and it does not add any extra bulk to the phone. I thought it was too expensive, but you get a lifetime warranty and I just need to make sure that this expensive phone is protected by something that is legit.

This case was totally fine and fit the phone well. I'm just used to not having a case on my phone so this felt too bulky for me. No issues with hinge cover or anything. If you want full coverage while getting MagSafe and showing off your phone because it's clear, then this is a good pick.

I chose this case over the Samsung cases because it had bezel protection for the front screen as well as the back (which most samsung cases don't have). I wound up returning it because there are much better ones available for much cheaper that have just as much protection. This one felt odd in my hand, and the hinge cover interfered with my ability to put the phone on a magsafe stand in the open (un folded) position. My advice, choose one of the other many cases available at Best Buy for this phone model, unless you absolutely need the 100% clear case.
