I've had this a little over a month. I prefer a housing over a sealed drive so I can open it and replace the storage. I like the design but I do prefer a metal thumb screw to hold the NVME in place. This uses a little rubber nubbin with ridges in it. It works but I just prefer the metal thumb screw. I put the 8TB WD_BLACK SN850X in this and it's ripping fast. Copies 20 gig turnover folders in a blink. So far it only gets warm.. not hot. I'm running a master foley session with 24 playback tracks 4 guides, a pix track and tons of inactive reference tracks. Session contains 10 - 50-ish minute episodes. Rips right open. I wonder about the plastic cover. Seems like the bare metal would allow heat to dissipate better if you are concerned. I've left the plastic on with no issues but it is easy enough to slide off. I'm very happy with the Zike enclosure and will probably buy a second one if it goes on sale for $100 or less. I would give it 5 stars but I am always reluctant to do so as nothing is perfect. There are options out there for this type of enclosure and value seems like a moving target. You decide if it's worth the money. If you see it for $100 grab it. I like this enclosure and once I like something I tend to stick with it unless it lets me down. So far this has been great. I have used it on the M2 mac studio, M1 Macbook Pro and an intel Mac Mini. Performance is always good. Mounts near instantly.

This is a SOLID enclosure for NVMe. i've tried many other enclosures and this one by far exceeded my expectations. At first, took a while to open the casing, once I was able to slide off 75% the transparent cover of the casing, the remaining 25% transparent casing opens by clicking and sliding that cover. Installing the NVMe SSD drive was apiece of cake. Once it was all put back together, you can feel the solidness of this enclosure, assuring the confidence of this enclosure. The additional short USB-C to USB-C cable in the enclosure is a nice bonus.

The Zike SSD enclosure is one of the better ones on the market having a robust aluminum cooling fin design to keep everything cool. I paired it with a Samsung 2TB SSD card and using it with Thunderbolt 4 connection, the read/write speeds average around 3400 MB/s which is very high speed for disk drives.

This is my second Zike Z666 Thunderbolt drive enclosure, each M.2 upgrade I do the old drive goes into a new enclosure. Works well and has fast read and write speeds.

This is a very solid and well built case. It works awesome and the storage for the built in cable is pretty cool. The case comes with a plastic outer case which I was not sure if I should leave on so I took it off. The case is easy to open and access. The drive bay uses a cleaver rubber nub to keep the drive in instead of a screw so its a tool less install as well. Pros: Solid and durable case Easy to open and install the drive Great cable storage Easy drive install Cons: A bit pricy for an external enclosure NOTES: This does get warm as the case is the heat sink and the M2 drives put out a lot of heat.

I had a 1T NVMe 2230 collecting dust but I didn't want to give or throw it away so I looked into enclosures because the NVMes can be easily R&Rd. This enclosure is adapted for multiple size NVMes. As for speed, from computer to enclosure and back the speed is very fast. From this enclosure to a like item it is still fast however, to and from older USB/SSDs the speed is only as fast as the older item is designed to operate. Heat is created by constant fast operation so the more data you are moving the hotter it will get but it is designed for heat dissipation. Although a bit bulky, I like the design and having an internal cable and an extended cable. overall it seems to work fine.

Great enclosure! Has a sturdy short cable for laptop use and a longer cable for other setups. High speeds and very reliable with most m.2 SSDs.

When I received my Enclosure, I found it to be a very durable and hard case that would protect my SD drive. The Enclosure gives you several adapter options for SD, which I found to be very important. I recommend going with this product because all the positive features that I need are available with it.

There is literally no better enclosure when it comes to accesing information from NVMes. I had a 1M2 enclosure, and the ZIKE drive beat it in both performance and heat dissepation. Don’t have to worry about my 2t nvme anymore.

A very solid external ssd case! I used this to expand my storage on my M4 Mac Mini and it works great.

It works. It's fast. I am using it with an 8tb Western Digital Black NVME. The performance is excellent, though it will largely depend on what you connect the drive to.

This is a well built enclosure. It does achieve the USB4 40 Gbps transfer numbers it claims though it does get a bit warm.

This is a great addition to my MacMini! The case is very protective, but opening up is easy and installing the ssd went smoothly in minutes. Excellent quality.

I use this enclosure with 2TB Samsung m.2 NVMe Gen4 SSD. It is connected via Thunderbolt 4 port Mac mini M4 machine. On mix of speed test Zike shows 20% higher speed for both read and write comparing with internal Mac SSD. Under moderate load, enclosure get warm at just about 105 F. No disconnections or any other problems so far.
