Literally the greatest rice cooker on the planet. Every time I used my cheap rice cooker there would always be burnt rice on the bottom. I get perfect rice every single time now. This is a must have!

Purchased this rice cooker a year and a half ago. It cooks rice surprisingly well and the rice seems to come out softer when compared to our older rice cooker and also last longer on the stay warm mode. But after a year and a half the non stick on the underside of the rice pot started chipping away and I'm assuming it will start chipping on the inside as well. For such an expensive rice cooker this should not be happening a year and a half in. We reached out to zojirushi and it seems they only warranty the rice pot for 1 YEAR!!! Seems like they must know the coatings fail after a year if they only warranty it for a year. Oh and a new one is $103 before taxes and shipping fees. So be ready to fork out 100 bucks a year on a new rice pot after purchasing this almost $600 dollar rice cooker. Also while I purchased it a year and a half ago 6 months of that the rice cooker was in storage, so I only got a years usage of cooking rice maybe 2-3 days max a week.

As you’d expect spending this much on a rice cooker, this thing makes perfect rice, in what feels like a foolproof way, every time. Short grain. Medium grain. Long grain. Short grain for rice bowls vs for homemade Sushi. Doesn’t matter. It all comes out exactly like it “should”. And with the customizable controls on top, if you have a personal preference outside the norm, it can do that too. We’ve done a really great Koshihikari rice using the Normal, Soft and Hard settings, and each has subtle differences while still seeming perfect. The extended warm feature is crazy. We had a busy week coming up, so I braised a Chuck roast, and made 6 cups of rice on Sunday. When the roast was done, I shredded it and put it in the fridge, and would take some out at different meal times during the week, and would sauté it in some Japanese BBQ sauce. The rice? We put the cooker on extended warm, and it kept the rice at exactly serving temperature for 4 days, without drying it out or the edges getting crispy. Lunch or supper in 10~ minutes all week from that. The kids love the little jingle it makes when it’s done (you can change it if you hate it) and would fight with each other over who got to open it for our first few cooks. Using the rice cooker itself is dead simple. Measure and Rinse your rise. Put it in the included bowl. Add water to the line. Close the lid. Click your cooking setting and start. The included clock + timer is super helpful as well. I did my rice prep the night before, set the timer to have the rice ready for me ~24 hours later when I got home from work, and that’s it. Walked in the door to the jingle of rice being done. No real assembly required- just take a couple stickers off the lid. Negatives? It’s expensive and essentially a unitasker. But the task that it does it 100% nails every time. I definitely prefer the rice out of this to what you get from, say, an Instapot. Not that Instapot is bad- this is just better. The only thing it has ever done less than perfect on the first shot was one of those Yellow Rice (saffron rice) packets; the normal setting was just a little too soft. But next time we made it, we set it to ‘Hard’ instead, and we’re more than happy. If you have the money but are on the fence, I can’t recommend this high enough. We love ours, and I really think you will to.

The Zojirushi NP‑NWC18XB is hands down the most reliable rice cooker I’ve owned. Its pressure induction heating system ensures every batch of rice comes out fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—whether it’s white, brown, jasmine, or even steel‑cut oatmeal. I especially appreciate the multiple cooking modes and the platinum‑infused inner pan, which really enhances taste. The AI fuzzy logic makes adjustments automatically, so I never have to worry about undercooked or mushy rice. It’s sleek, durable, and large enough to handle family meals or meal prep. While it’s an investment, the quality and convenience make it absolutely worth it.

We love how this cooker has made every batch of rice perfectly, it comes out light and fluffy every time, it looks good as well, and is simple to operate.

Highly recommend!! A great rice cooker that handles any type of rice plus oatmeal, porridge (applesauce recipe) and more. We use it multiple times a week. This is my second Zojirushi cooker. Had the other one for more than 15 years and had to be replaced after dropping something on it and cracking the lid. Zojirushi is now manufacturing some cookers in China. This model is made in Japan and carries that label. The fuzzy logic works great -- just make sure that you prepare the rice properly, including rinsing.

I was hesitant to purchase because of the price but glad I did. Cooks rice perfectly and keeps it warm for a long time without it getting mushy.

This helps me cook brown rice so fast that i really like it. But the battery inside only works for a few years and have to bring to zojirushi to change battery is kind of annoying. It's good rice cooker thus. The previous model has scorch settings which i like.

Very pricy rice cooker but it is definitely a game changer in the kitchen. It is easy to use and clean after use. The rice doesn’t burn at all from staying warm in the cooker for several hours after cooking is done. Does take about an hour or so to cook the rice depending on the type. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to make an investment.

This rice cooker was very pricey but it is just what I needed for my ricing life. Rice comes out exactly as needed every time and warm feature is one of the best with no rice caking. Have used for steel oats with great success. I don’t see myself buying another rice cooker in many years so it is why I bought this for family.

This is an amazing ricecooker. I was amazed at how much better it turned out than it did with my old black and decker cooker. Did a blind taste test for fun and everyone picked the rice from this cooker.
