Hi I bought this phone last month and sent it to my sister to Ethiopia and when she put her SIM card they asked her NETWORK UNLOCK CODE what is that means?
Answered by SamsungSalutations Zee, thank you for taking the time to ask us your question about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3. A network unlock code is a unique digital PIN sent by a carrier to remove a network restriction. However, a truly unlocked Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 does not have a network lock, meaning it will never ask for an unlock code when you put in a new SIM card. Typically, If your phone is asking for a code, it is actually carrier-locked, not unlocked. Hope that helps! If you have any other questions for us or if you'd like further assistance, please let us know by reaching out to Support. Thank you for being a cherished Samsung customer. - Debra

Is the phone compatible with Consumer cellular if bought from best buy? Also what does the open box mean? Is this one that was returned?
Answered by GeneIf Consumer Cellular has a SIM card, then this phone should work with that carrier as it is unlocked. Open Box means the phone was returned for some reason and therefore, it is discounted. I am not sure if this one was returned or not, but, I got a great deal on it.
Does the call get dropped if I close it? This feature is crucial for me to have.
