Powerful table fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the antique look of this fan; have another similar taller fan and was thrilled when I came upon this fan in my My Best Buy email! I placed it in a small bedroom and it moves the air around beautifully!

Little fan, Big wind
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm extremely happy with the quality of this fan. It's not easy to find metal fans like I had in my room as a child. Other reviewers mention the noise-and it is fairly loud. But it's white noise, which is awesome for my tinnitus. Other sounds, like frogs and rain, haven't had the same effect as the familiar sound of a metal blade fan. I chose to pick it up at the store, and the box was crushed and had been opened, checked, and re-taped by BB employees. I asked if it could still be returned if I had a problem with its operation, and the young attendant rolled her eyes and said, "It's only a fan!" I'm thinking, Yep, with a motor that relies on intricately moving parts. I almost left it there at that point, but I'm glad I ignored the help and brought this home. It has a small footprint, looks nice, and I think it has more forceful airflow than my ceiling fan. But it's great, even on low, for my intrusive tinnitus that keeps me awake at night.

Insignia makes this? WOW!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use a fan for white noise and some added room cooling at night. I've had a plain fan for a while, I saw this on the shelf at my local Best Buy and decided I needed to replace the boring plastic fan. Pros: Heavy, metal body Metal grill Metal blades Oscillation and speed options Cord appears durable Has a retro look I like the weight of the fan base No squeaks, plastic clicking together Cons: It's louder than I expected (masks ALL noise, though I'm not sure it's technically "white noise" anymore) I have zero regrets and I have absolutely recommended that friends buy one. The metal looks very good, and there are color choices (though I prefer the stainless steel).

Powerful lil beauty
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fan rules. I am weird when it comes to design. I hate plastic. It looks cheap and collects dusts like no other. Black is the worst and white is almost as bad. I think modern fans are very ugly, tacky in design and craftsmanship. I like metal. glass, mirror. My boyfriend chose this for me. It was all sold out on Amazon. I was lucky and found it locally at Best Buy on sale for a fraction of the cost of the ugly cheap plastic fans. This fan is beautiful. It is strong and sturdy in construction and very powerful. I have never used it past the 2nd setting and 90% of the time used the 1st. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants an option other than plastic, has a retro or vintage decor. But it can suit any decor . If you wants something that is beautiful to look at and not just a cheap clump of plastic parts this is the fan for you.

Great tabletop fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely LOVE this fan! I was looking for a retro style fan small enough to place on my kitchen counter or buffet that would also match my kitchen decor, I got the stainless steel fan. My kitchen is fairly large so I needed it to be powerful and this fan certainly is. The fan is sturdy and has a good weight to it so it doesn't move or vibrate even on the high setting, that high setting IS powerful. All 3 settings work great but due to how powerful it is the low setting is what I use most. I read in other reviews that some said it was too loud but I don't think so, it's a fan so it will make noise. I get so many compliments on this fan and it looks great in my kitchen and matches the stainless steel appliances perfectly. When I placed my order Best Buy said it'd take 5-7 days but I got it the next day! How's that for speedy service!

Powerful Fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered 3 of these on sale in the copper color online. The color wasn't anything like I expected. Much more of a muted antique brownish color . I was surprised at how powerful this little fan is. It really puts out the air and that's exactly what I wanted unlike the little personal fans I've been using. I wish it came with a remote, but I can live without it. I'm going to use one on our patio this summer not only for keeping cool , but it will blow the mosquitos away during the evenings upping our enjoyment being outside. I highly recommend this little fan especially if you live in a small house or apartment and need something that doesn't take up a lot of space, but still need lots of air too keep cool

Good Buy for the Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have two of these fans and have found them to be very reliable. They aren't silent. But I have found the noise they do make to be nonobjectionable. I live on a noisy street and have come to think of the fan noise as white noise. Much like airplanes overhead. And oftentimes I am unaware that rain is falling. Any noise they make is more than outweighed by the air they move and the assistance they provide my central air. They're beautiful to look at and work nicely with the decor of the rooms in which I use them. And the price is more than reasonable. Unless you live out on the country, there will always be city noises that irritate. These fans remove some of the clatter.

Q: QuestionI bought this fan and there is a fuse in the plug portion of the cord. The fuse is similar to those found in a christmas light strand. Will it operate without the fuse? Who sells the fuses and where can I get another fuse if it goes bad.
Asked by Fuse.
- A:Answer I have the same fan, although I did not get it at Best Buy. If the fuse blows, I would not recommend cutting off the plug and replacing it with a non-fused one. While the fan would work, it could cause a potential fire hazard if the fan motor becomes overheated or jammed. This type of fuse is found in the plugs of many small appliances these days. While they can be tricky to find in your local hardware or auto store, when mine blew, I was able to find replacements in less than 5min of searching online. The specifications for this fan are 125V 5A fuse, The size is 3.6x10mm. (0.14 x 0.39in) Since many small appliances are now using this type plug, I bought a box of 10 so I'm prepared for future blow-outs. Good Luck!
