High capacity for home NAS
I bought this drive for a home NAS I am using as a media server. I wanted as much capacity as reasonably affordable as it is being used in a RAID5 setup. It's quiet and smooth, and seems to run reasonably cool. I'm hoping it lasts a long, long time!

Fast
I purchased these drives (2) to be installed in a Qnap NAS. They went in fine and are much faster then the two 6 gig Red's I currently have in my 4 bay NAS. How do I know this?, it takes 1/3 of the time to upload into these drives as the RED's.

Worth the price!
I freelance in multimedia production, and go through storage space like crazy. This thing can handle the workload and operating hours. First night having just installed this massive HDD I already migrated about 4 tB of data to it and it's been keeping pace with non-stop usage and transfers since. DataCenter rated, ready to rock!
