The Sony 16–35mm is an incredible lens and easily one of my favorites in my camera bag. I primarily use it for photographing waterfalls and landscapes, and it’s absolutely perfect for that type of photography. At 16mm, it gives me that huge, immersive perspective that works especially well around waterfalls, where I want to capture the water along with the surrounding forest, rocks, moss, and foreground. Being able to zoom to 35mm also gives me enough flexibility to tighten up the composition without constantly changing lenses. The image quality is outstanding. Photos come out extremely sharp with beautiful detail throughout the frame, which is especially noticeable in landscapes with lots of fine details like trees, ferns, moss, rocks, and moving water. For long-exposure waterfall photography, this lens is a beast. It has become one of those lenses that I can throw on my camera before heading into the forest and know I’ll come home with something I’m happy with. If you shoot waterfalls, forests, or landscapes, the Sony 16–35mm is an absolute workhorse. It’s easily one of the best pieces of photography gear I’ve purchased and a lens I plan on keeping in my bag for a very long time.

This lens completely changed my camera, i had the standard kit lens when you buy the A7IV which is decent and gets the job done but this makes such a world of a difference lol. The sharpness of the image is unreal, the price sucks but you get what you pay for. I use this camera for a mix of things, I vlog with it for my social media page and just got back into photography with it. The aperture ring is so nice to have and it is lighter than the first edition which is great. The goal is to get the trinity: 16-35, 24-70, and 70-200. These lenses are built to last a very long time and will capture life greatest moments in the best of quality. For that I am willing to shell out the extra money. Buy once cry once

This lens blows me away every time. So sharp and so fast. Never go on a trip without it.

So much lighter and compact in comparison to Sony’s first 16-35mm GM. The build quality is great and the aperture ring is a nice touch. I would recommend this lens to anyone who is willing to purchase at such an expensive price point. I haven’t done Astro with it yet, but will report back.

Picture quality is amazing!! Lens is very lightweight, fast focus and perfect for my rolling shot photography. I highly recommend this lens to all automotive photographers.
