    The Jazz Album

Davis, Adderley, Coltrane, and more. This album should be part of every music aficionados collection. Beautifully recorded and perfect for vinyl. If you could only own one Jazz album, this should be it.

    Happiness on vinyl

I am only just rediscovering vinyl after many years of my turntable sitting in a closet with a broken stylus. After the purchase of a new McIntosh amplifier and some martin Logan ESL11s, I thought it time to mount a new cartridge and give it a whirl. After reading many reviews, I grabbed this and a few other classic jazz records to really put the system to the test. Not only is the sound quality incredible, but the musicianship is stellar. While this kind of jazz may not be everyone's cup of tea, I think anyone will appreciate this record. It makes me happy.

    Nice Album

The quality of the vinyl pressing seems to be quite good...probably better than the original. This album has the reputation of being a masterpiece. I have researched various articles and videos on why. Although I understand what is being said about why this is a significant album, I have to admit that I'm not terribly impressed with the music itself. There is nothing that strikes me as very unusual, or difficult, or extraordinary. It just strikes me as fairly mellow, easy listening jazz.

This is a must have lp

I purchased this album after looking online for LPS that had great recorded sound and this one came up. I had just purchased a phonograph player and wanted to hear what all the fuss was about vinyl sounding better and found out that is not always the case. It depends on how the master was recorded and this album does not disappoint .They have reproduced Miles Davis at his best and this album was recorded in 1959! Puts most mp3s to shame.

Madvillain - Madvillainy - VINYL LP

Madvillain Madlib, MF Doom. Additional personnel includes Lord Quas, M. E. D. , Wildchild, Viktor Vaughn, Stacy Epps. Two years in the making, and combining two of the best underground hip-hop artists of the early 2000s, this collaboration between MF Doom and Madlib has been appropriately dubbed MADVILLAINY. With both men known for their stunning soundscapes, rhyming skills, and schizophrenic personalities, the duo decided to have Madlib concentrate on the beats and let Doom handle the lyrics. In mixing their comic-book-like personas, Madlib and Doom play to their nearly superhuman strengths; while some other collaborations of this caliber seems forced and lop-sided, there is absolutely no filler here-just undiluted beats and rhymes, best exemplified by the singles InchAmerica's Most BluntedInch and InchAll Caps. Inch Lib's inventive production leans towards the jazzy side of his repertoire, and Doom unleashes outrageous lyrics on par with his solo efforts (and even his work as Zevlove X in his stint with K. M. D. ). Never flashy or glamorous, MADVILLAINY is served straight up, the way hip-hop was meant to be.
