22 Jumped Too Far
||Posted .The first movie had Depp & Delouise. This one almost had Dustin(deleted scene) in it. Plot was played out. Although with humorous moments, not hilarious.

Better Than the First
||Posted .Comedy sequels are notorious for essentially being their first movie for a second time and not bringing anything new to the table. Since this criticism has become a consensus, comedy-sequel writers have tried and failed to avoid this problem. It kind of just is what it is. Nothing is as good the second time around. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum made for an unlikely duo in 2012’s “21 Jump Street,” a remake of the 1987 television series. This odd couple had great chemistry, and made for a good, if unoriginal buddy cop movie. Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) are cops who did a great undercover operation a few years ago, where they went undercover as high school students to stop a new and lethal drug from getting into the wrong hands. Now, they are going undercover at a local college to basically do the same operation all over again. What makes this different from other basically-the-same-movie comedy sequels is its meta self-awareness. We know that it’s the same story as the original, and it knows that it is. What pushes this into uncharted territory is that it knows that we know it. The script is stuffed with self-aware jokes that went over the heads of alot of people in my screening - it was like I was the only one who got these jokes. Channing Tatum, who is a complete failure as a dramatic actor, can be very good in a comedy if the script is there. He and Jonah Hill play off one another very well, and this film becomes the odd comedy sequel that demands to be watched along with its predecessor - it’s not a step down from the original, and it’s just as much fun as the first. Grade; B+

Clever, biting, quick and witty - this is a sequel
||Posted .Tatum and Hill are back better than before, the story ties in very well with the previous movie, the opening of the film sets the mood very quickly with good comical action and witty laugh out loud one-liners, their mission this time to go to college to foil a drug dealing ring with hilarious consequences of course, it has all you typical cliché buddy comedy ideas and twists but does it really well with funny set ups and situations for both characters, the jokes and one-liners are very funny especially from Hill as he's more pro on the comedy scene and just does what he always does, Ice cube is also very funny to watch too, this is one of the years best comedies and buddy cop movies, if you like the original its a must, juvenile laugh out loud silliness at its best. Make sure you watch the end credits for some hilarious insight into possible sequels!! And there is a moment after the credits too!

A great movie to watch with a bro, you know?
||Posted .If you're looking for a movie to watch with a friend, then look no further than 22 Jump Street. It not only lives up to its predecessor, but exceeds it. Me and my best friend Leet Larry had a ball watching it. In this bromance comedy from the directors of the Lego Movie two cops must go undercover as college students to find the supplier of a new drug that is on campus. Sounds like just another day at school right? Wrong, you know? Let me say, Channing Tatum steals the show. Jonah Hill is solid, but Tatum takes the laughs to the next level with his inspired weirdness and sheer unpredictability. My best friend Leet Larry hates Channing Tatum and still swears he thought Magic Mike was a movie about women when he went to see the midnight premiere. Well after 22 Jump Street Larry admits that Channing isn't such a bad guy after all. He still doesn't like McConaughey though, but that's another story. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but there is an octopus in the movie. Go see it. 5 stars, you know?

Everyone say Sleepy is like the Mexican Wolverine
||Posted .This movie is one ridiculously insane social commentary about the movie industry, the nature of sequels, and pop culture. I am truly amazed at just how clever and well written this movie. I lost count how many times I was laughing myself silly. It is just so incredibly funny. Throughout the movie, they're constantly talking about the police budget and how they can't afford to do explosions, action, etc (comparing it to a movie budget) and various other things...yet...well, things happen (spoiler). Anyways, go see it. If you're a frequent movie goer, you'll get alot of the jokes since they poke fun of just about everything involving the movie industry.

Hilarious movie and great disc set with dig copy
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Another hilarious movie, and a great disc and digital copy too. If you liked 21, you’ll definitely like this. These films are just hilarious. The 4K disc and blu ray are grey plus it has the digital copy. So nothing wrong with anything really, all is smooth sailings and funny movie watching.
