We make house calls.
We'll come to your home if your refrigerator or large freezer needs a repair. In some cases, we may have to replace your product.*
You'll never pay for parts and labor.
We take care of 100% of the costs of parts and labor for covered repairs, with no hidden fees. In some cases, we may have to replace your product.*
We'll cover up to $300 in spoiled food and medication (per event).
If your product has a mechanical breakdown, we'll cover spoilage up to $300 per event. Spoilage due to power outage is not covered. (For plans purchased on or after 3/1/2020.)
If there's failure from normal wear and tear, we'll repair it or replace your product.*
This could be a problem with an internal part or manufacturing. It could also be caused by dust, internal heat or humidity. Accidental damage not included.
If your refrigerator or freezer isn't working because of a power surge, we'll fix or replace it.*
If there's a power surge or fluctuation that damages your product, we'll make things right. This includes a surge caused by a lightning strike.
We'll reinstall your product.
After we resolve what’s wrong with your refrigerator or freezer, we'll reinstall it if we originally installed it.
You can transfer your Geek Squad Protection.
When you sell or give someone your covered product, Geek Squad Protection is still in effect, with no additional charges or restrictions. Call 1-800-433-5778 to transfer.
When something goes wrong, we're always here to help.

*For some appliance products, we have limited access to replacement parts. Due to these complexities, we will skip any repair efforts and replace or reimburse you for your broken item.

Perfect size and space

But doesn’t seem so bulky on the outside. Easy to clean and keep fingerprints off. It’s always so shiny and like a mirror! AND I’ve had it for two years! Also love how the water dispenses from the inside so that kids are not messing with it and it stays clean.

Love the middle drawer; installers did great

No working refrigerator and no plan

It took many hours on hold to get an appointment, which took 8 days to have. The technician diagnosed that the less than 2 year old refrigerator needed both a compressor and an evaporator coil. He sent that info into AIG, which seems to service the Geek Squad warranty. His labor was approved, the parts are "on review" and have been such for 8 days (6 business days). I have been without a refrigerator for 17 days. There still is no appointment or plan for repair. I haven't tallied my time on-line or on-hold with all the different entities dealing with this, but it's been over 10 hours over these past two weeks. More than half of the time, I never got to speak to a person. In fact, on multiple occasions I would wait on-hold for over an hour only to be disconnected or sent to another hold line. I have been a loyal customer, purchasing multiple computers, printers, appliances, televisions, streaming boxes, etc. My "customer service liaison", and some members of the Geek Squad have been downright demeaning. I am not a happy customer.

Q: QuestionMy appliances where delivered and i purchased a 3 year extended warranty from geek squad when i purchased the appliances on line. am i automatically covered or is there something i need to register. i don't have any paper work except whats on my receipt.

If at any time we needed to use your plan, we can access it by looking up your account information. There's nothing that you need to do for it at this point. Q: QuestionThe surface of my refrigerator is not durable but dents with the slightest bump. Furthermore, it is nearly impossible to keep the surface clean and it looks horrible. Is there anything I can do? Have 3-year standard GSP.

- A:Answer Definitely not through Geek Squad as their coverage does NOT include anything cosmetic. Furthermore, if the product is still under MFG warranty, having geek squad come out to look at the unit will result in a service fee. Reread your contract. Maybe if you contact the manufacturer you might get some help...

- A:Answer Yes, your warranty and extended warranty (Geek Squad Protection Plan) if purchased goes into effect on the date of delivery. Although, any issues within the first year must be resolved through the manufacturer. This basically means your first year Geek Squad protection plan is for nothing. Even though you paid for year 1, you technically can't use the plan until the 2nd year.
