About This Item

A Japanese Horror FilmInch is a dive into the realm of possibility. Surreal in nature, Chester Watson's opus touches subjects like astral projection, past lives, reincarnation, folklore and mythology. It's when a trip to Japan to clear his mind turns into an inter-dimensional journey of impromptu meetings with Yokai. It's attempt to get you yourself to destroy the things that could change you and the people around you for the better. For the last half-decade, Chester has mastered the art of dusted and damaged psychedelic music, ideal for imprecations and illicit behavior, baleful hymns and bleak parables. He has re-imagined himself as a cursed black Pharaoh covered in golden scarabs, an enigma with wings, suffused with Eastern philosophy, skateboards, and spitting raps as hot as Guatemalan springs. A new anti-hero with venom, the ballet-dancing beast hallucinated on ayahuasca or just too much liquor. As Watson says himself, Inchthe best villain since Mad-V.Inch After touring the world, appearing in Adult Swim's Singles series, and crafting more necromantic spells, Watson's returned with A Japanese Horror Film,Inch featuring guest spots from frequent collaborators, Kent Loon of Nu Age, Psymun (producer for Young Thug, The Weeknd), and Dua Saleh - and mastering by L.A. underground legend, Zeroh. Pitchfork hailed his ability to build a Inchself contained world with his magnetic monotone and intricate, evocative raps. Album Tracks 1. Life Wrote Itself 2. Transportation Interlude (Feat. Kiminori Chiba) 3. Taxi Ghost (Feat. Ria and Sima Itayim) 4. Porcelain Geisha (Feat. Fifi Rong) 5. Yokai (Feat. Psymun, Kanisono, Fifi Rong & Kent Loon) 6. Witch Hunter (Feat. K Raydio) 7. Deftones - Around the Fur - VINYL LP
    4.6(12)

Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression. This LP version comes pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Album Tracks 1. My Own Summer (Shove It) 2. Lhabia 3. Mascara 4. Around the Fur 5. Rickets 6. Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away) 7. Lotion 8. Dai the Flu 9. Headup 10. MX
