Great package of legendary music...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Any fan of classic rock music knows the story of Elton John's meteoric rise to fame following the release of his self-titled "Elton John" album in 1970. This success came through release of five albums between 1970 and 1973 alone, a prolific period for the Elton John/Bernie Taupin writing duo. Those five albums are now captured here in one package, a encapsulation of Elton's early catalog all in one purchase. For the true Elton fans, each original album has been appended with several B-sides and other loose tracks issued during the same era, providing a very complete discography of Elton's early work from hits such as "Tiny Dancer" and "Levon" to deep album tracks like "My Father's Gun" and "Teacher, I Need You." It's all music... and represents some of the best work of Elton's early career. With that said, the package is all about the music and does not include liner notes, lyrics or other supporting information. For some that may be a disappointment, but for the rest who want to learn (or relearn) the best of Elton's career, this package is for you.

Elton John's Best - All in One Package!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The early 70s were Sir Elton John's most prolific songwriting period. The five albums in this collection are easily among his best, and must haves for any fan of Elton John. If only Goodbye Yellow Brick Road were included! Fortunately, that album is also available on this site for a reasonable price. Lots of variety on these albums, from symphonic rock to country rock to old-timey piano bar tunes, this package is an absolute treat to listen to. Oh, and did I mention that there is bonus tracks? Yeah, this collection is a TREMENDOUS value, and any fan of early 70s rock music would be crazy not to get this.
