Bruce Springsteen - Born In The Usa - VINYL LP
About this product
Heavyweight 180gm vinyl LP repressing of this album from the rock superstar housed in a faithfully recreated LP sleeve containing all the elements of the original . Born in the U.S.A. is the seventh studio album by American rock singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen, released on June 4, 1984. A critical and commercial success, it found Springsteen marking a departure in his sound. While it's predecessor, the dark and acoustic Nebraska, featured songs of pessimism and isolation, Born in the U.S.A.'s lyrics expressed signs of hope in the daily fight of the ordinary American in following the American Dream, a new feeling complemented by synthesized arrangements and a pop-flavored, radio-oriented sound that helped Springsteen to extend his popularity and appeal to mainstream audiences. The album was supported by an enormous commercial campaign that helped create several hit singles, as well as remixes and music videos. Born in the U.S.A. was the best-selling album of 1985 in the United States (and also Springsteen's most successful album ever), selling 15 million copies in the U.S alone, and 30 million worldwide. The album produced a record-tying string of seven Top 10 singles (tied with Michael Jackson's Thriller and Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814) and also a worldwide concert tour (the two-year Born in the U.S.A. Tour) that was a success. The album was lauded by most critics and is often considered one of Springsteen's finest albums (Rolling Stone magazine rated it the 86th-greatest album of all time, his second on the list) along with his 1975 breakthrough, Born to Run. The scathing condemnation of the title track is often misinterpreted as a patriotic anthem as a result of the repeating chorus.

Moisturizer is the bold, second album from Wet Leg, the Isle of Wight five-piece founded by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers. Joined by Ellis Durand, Henry Holmes, and Joshua Mobaraki, Wet Leg has spent the past few years on the road, evolving into a feral, electrifying live force. This new record captures that energy, delivering a sound that's tighter, bolder, and more self-assured, yet still brimming with the same quick wit and raw, unrefined energy. Isolated in a remote house in the countryside, moisturizer was written in a creative frenzy, diving into themes of obsession and all-consuming love. While their 2022 debut earned Grammy wins and chart-topping success, moisturizer brings the bite brash guitars, heavy beats, and a fearless devotion to feeling everything-all at once.

Huey Lewis Collected celebrates the career of Huey Lewis & The News, a band synonymous with feel-good, high-energy pop rock built on big hooks, sharp musicianship and an unmistakable voice that defined an era. This comprehensive collection traces the band's remarkable journey, from their early bar band roots to their rise as one of the most successful American acts of the 1980s. Born in New York and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Huey Lewis followed an unconventional path. A gifted student and athlete, he hitchhiked across America and Europe, teaching himself harmonica along the way. His early years with Clover took him to England, where he recorded with top producers and contributed harmonica to classic rock albums before returning home to form the group that would make him a household name. Huey Lewis & The News emerged from the vibrant Bay Area music scene with a tight, soulful sound shaped by Huey Lewis, Sean Hopper, Johnny Colla, Mario Cipollina, Bill Gibson and later Chris Hayes. Their breakthrough came with Picture This in 1982, but it was the blockbuster album Sports that turned them into global superstars. Hits including InchI Want a New DrugInch, InchThe Heart of Rock & RollInch and InchIf This Is ItInch dominated the charts and airwaves, making Sports one of the best-selling albums of the decade. Their momentum continued with iconic contributions to the Back to the Future soundtrack, including the chart-topping InchThe Power of LoveInch, followed by the multi-platinum success of Fore! And it's string of international hits. Through changing musical landscapes, the band continued to evolve, releasing acclaimed albums, exploring their rhythm & blues roots and maintaining a reputation as one of America's most engaging live acts.
