A Little Police, a lot Sting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like the Police. you will find several songs on this album that could have been recorded by them. The majority of the album, however, is Sting showcasing his many interests and talents as a writer of songs. I like what he has done on the album, but I appreciate the songs that remind me of The Police most. That said, I would still recommend that you buy this latest effort by this talented musician.

Not a full triumph but Some catchy tunes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being touted as his "return to rock". It sounds like he's kinda of imitating himself on a few tunes. You'll spot some familiar melodies of his old songs in these new ones. It's not "raw" rock n roll but there are some pleasant tunes. I recommend "One Fine Day" , a tune similar to his 1991 hit "All this Time".

A nice pop record for a change
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sting proves you can only make so many quiet & moody records before people start to yawn. Catchy songs in line with the Goo Goo Dolls.

Sting returns to pop roots
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sting strips back some of the "excesses" of his most recent releases. If you like the Police and early Sting solo albums this is for you. Catchy songs and great musicianship.

Good price for this gift
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good price for the album, the only reason it was a little bit cheaper was because the case for this is just a cardboard sleeve instead of a case.

Another great CD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sting starts sounding like The Police in 1st track and on Petrohead, the rest is a typical Sting work. It sounds great. It's not his best work.

Old Rocker?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sting has left the lute among other things behind for this album. He still has the same band pretty much. This album actually has some rock to it and not as mellow as some of the previous stuff. Is this the album that will make you go wow? Nope. It is a solid album with some rock in it. But some of the songs do seem similar to older stuff. Recommended if you like Sting, otherwise probably not.
