Q: Just got my new fridge and haven't plugged it in yet but noticed that the fridge door feels like it's hitting resistance about 1/3 out and in when I open and close it...have to give it a nice push or pull to close or open. It does close tight. Normal?

A: That resistance you’re feeling is from the mechanism that closes/keeps open the door. If you look at the very bottom of where the door swings open you’ll see a white plastic lever. I believe it’s designed to help assist in closing the door but also when you open it past the halfway mark to keep it open.

Q: Will this unit work in my garage, although my garage is insulated winter temp is around 40 degrees. if not is their a garage kit available? or could you recommend a small refrigerator 14 cubic foot or less that would work. Thanks Dave

A: Hi, SantaDave! Thank you for your inquiry. It is recommended to not install the refrigerator where the surrounding air temperature may fall to 50°F (10°C) or below. The refrigerator compartment contents may freeze. Do not install the refrigerator where the surrounding air temperature may reach 110°F (43°C) or above. The refrigerator and freezer compartments may rise to above normal operating temperatures. In researching, we were unable to locate any compact refrigerators that are recommended to be installed in area that goes below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
