Features
3-Way 4-Drive floorstanding speaker system
Hear natural depth and total clarity in all your audio. This 4-driver floorstanding speaker includes two rigid 5.12 in woofers for dynamic bass, along with a 0.98 in tweeter and a 0.75 in super tweeter designed to bring movies and music to life.
5.12 in woofer
This speaker system includes two 5.12 in woofers for deep, stable bass. Utilizing a reinforced cellular cone diaphragm, it delivers powerful bass along with the finer detail needed for clear vocals and dialog in the mid-range.
High precision tweeter
The 0.98 in soft dome main tweeter features polyester fiber for a more faithful, authentic sound. Precise acoustic tuning with advanced sound-absorbing felt eliminates rear sound pressure from the tweeters to ensure natural-sounding vocals.
Wide dispersion super tweeter
The 0.75 in wide dispersion super tweeters with wide directionality reproduce high frequency notes across an expansive soundstage.
Perfect match for Sony AV receivers
Sony CS speakers are a perfect match for Sony A/V receivers. Bring home theater sound together as a total package.
Enhanced sound pressure with reduced weight
These speakers include tweeters with enhanced sound pressure, made possible through a range of weight-reduction techniques, including a more powerful magnetic circuit and a lighter CCAW (copper-clad aluminum wire) voice coil.
Reinforced Cellular cone for undistorted audio
Many speakers use paper cones that flex and deteriorate over time, leading to a more distorted sound. Reinforced cellular cone woofers are rigid, holding their shape even when moving at high pressure and speed, so you can drive the bass harder without compromising audio quality.
Rich acoustics with strong cabinet design
The ported, all-wood enclosures are built for rich acoustics. Unwanted vibrations are dampened and absorbed thanks to a rigid structure with interior joints reinforced by solid wood. Designers also optimized the type and layout of internal sound-absorbing material to precisely control cabinet resonance.
Wooden finish for style and substance
These speakers feature a sleek black finish that blends with most modern interiors. The wood veneer holds its shape over time, helping preserve audio quality—even with changes in temperature and humidity.
High quality structure for clear sound reproduction
These speakers are built on solid foundations. A strong, ported enclosure supports rich, resonant acoustics. The rear-positioned bass reflex duct helps suppress unwanted noise and improves low-frequency performance.
Hi-Res Audio
With a wide frequency response of 45-50,000 Hz these speakers faithfully reproduce high-resolution audio.
Premium Componentry
Premium componentry delivers premium sound—that’s why these speakers use only high-quality materials. Air-core conductors in the tweeters, a silicon steel plate in the woofers, the thickest possible winding materials, and high-grade film capacitors all contribute to exceptional performance.

Questions & Answers
I am trying to connect this to my Sony receiver but my wires don’t work. Can you provide a link for what wires I can purchase to connect?
Answered by SonyListensHello there, Thank you for considering Sony products! We appreciate your inquiry about connecting the SS-CS3M2 speakers to your Sony receiver and are happy to assist you. These speakers use standard speaker terminals and require speaker wire (not included). We recommend 16-gauge speaker wire for typical short connections, or 12–14 gauge for longer runs. Make sure the wire is compatible with your receiver's speaker terminals, and match the positive (+) and negative (−) connections.
