They use air conduction to produce bone-conduction-like comfort without a stiff band, fitting over the ear with soft ear hooks. These are not traditional stiff-band headphones. They are true wireless earbuds with soft, ergonomic ear hooks that sit lightly on the ear. They allow you to use only one earbud at a time, making them ideal for managing single-sided deafness and tinnitus comfortably while lying down. One of the most comfortable earbuds I’ve used
I bought the Shokz OpenDots ONE mainly because I wanted something comfortable that doesn’t block my ears, and they exceeded my expectations. The clip-on open-ear design is very lightweight and secure. After a few minutes you almost forget you’re wearing them. What I like most is that I can listen to music or podcasts while still hearing what’s going on around me. That makes them perfect for the gym, walking outside, or even working when people are talking to you. The sound quality is very clear for open-ear earbuds. Vocals are crisp and the audio is balanced. The Bluetooth connection has been very stable and pairing with my phone was quick and easy. The charging case is compact and feels well built, and the battery life has been more than enough for daily use. Overall, if you’re looking for comfortable open-ear wireless earbuds that let you stay aware of your surroundings, these are a great option.
