    Avenged Sevenfold's best release

As a longtime fan of heavy metal and hard rock (going back to the late 70's), I didn't become a fan of Avenged Sevenfold until about 5 years ago. Since that time I've purchased their entire back catalog and feel that City of Evil was their best release. Although it is much more melodic than their first two studio albums, it still manages to be very heavy and establishes their very unique sound.

Not their best CD, but still 5 stars

My favorite CD by Avenged Sevenfold is WAKING THE FALLEN, but I'd still give this one five stars, too. The musicianship on this album is fantastic. There's something on this album for fans of all kinds. This album was the album that introduced me to Avenged Sevenfold, and I am thankful.

    "Oldie, but goodie"

Avenged Sevenfold is becoming one of my favorite bands, the more that I listen to them. This is one of their first cds, and the music is just as good, as what they are putting out now.

Following seven years of near solid touring, Muse escalated from being the biggest band in Teignmouth in 1997 to one of the biggest bands in Europe by 2004. With each successive album, they pushed the musical envelope with a fusion of progressive rock, electronica, and Radiohead-influenced experimentation, creating an emotive, passionate sound. Muse's reputation as one of the best live rock bands in the world is well deserved with their exhilarating live performances drawing critical acclaim, industry buzz, and a loyal and rabid fan base. This 2 LP set is a 180 gram pressing from Record Industry.

Initially envisioned as a film project, each song on Talent Night at the Ashram was originally a short film that, when strung together, formed a feature-length movie. Equal parts Fellini and Os Mutantes, Talent Night at the Ashram is cinematic in it's storytelling and kaleidoscopic in it's mixing and merging of musical genres.
