Deftones - Diamond Eyes - VINYL LP
About this product
Diamond Eyes works the way good records used to; each song carries you a little further away from your crappy day until finally, you've been transported to a place that feels a whole lot better than where you started. There's also a newfound sense of purpose that makes Deftones' sixth album stand out. The band recorded the album after their best friend and bassist Chi Cheng sustained a debilitating brain injury from a car accident in November of 2008. - The tangle of Stephen Carpenter's woozy, undulating guitar work and Moreno's soaring then secretive vocal style is the bittersweet dynamic behind each of Deftones' records, including Diamond Eyes. The friction drives the music as much as it does the players, though it doesn't always make life easy for childhood friends Carpenter and Moreno. InchWhat makes us work?Inch asks Carpenter. InchChino will give you the exact opposite answer that I do. That's the way it is with us-we contradict each other constantly but it's also what makes our music what it is-intense and different.Inch

Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression. This LP version comes pressed on 180 gram vinyl.

Deluxe double vinyl LP pressing. Post Traumatic is the deeply personal solo album from Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda recorded in the months following the passing of Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington. Originally released in June 2018, the 16-track album included the 3 songs from the Post Traumatic EP released earlier that year, plus the singles InchCrossing A LineInch and InchMake It Up As I GoInch. This 18-track deluxe vinyl re-issue of Post Traumatic includes two bonus songs InchProve You WrongInch and InchWhat The Words MeantInch; tracks that were originally released as a limited edition 10Inch single and added to the digital album. Despite it's title, Post Traumatic - which includes collaborations with K. Flay, blackbear, Machine Gun Kelly, Deftones; Chino Moreno, and grandson - is an album about healing. The songs are specific about Shinoda's experience with loss yet manage to be universally relatable, thanks to their honesty and heart.

V.E.H.N., was nominated for a Latin Grammy and helped propel the band back into the spotlight, returning to the stage with one of the best tours of their career to date. The album features collaborations with Bunbury, as well as Cristina Martínez and Álvaro Arizaleta from El Columpio Asesino. The artwork was created by the award-winning and renowned designer Javier Jaén. Double vinyl edition.
