In American Ninja, Michael Dudikoff plays American "GI Joe" who, based in the Philippines, gets hip to a crooked arms racket involving none other than the military itself. There's no end to the rib-cracking opportunities Dudikoff encounters as he knee-knocks his way through a host of bad guys, rescues a lady in distress, and ventures to thwart the thieving arms vendors.~Phillip Erlewine

Love this movie, one of the best 80s B Action flicks. A nice restoration along with some bonus features! Far from a bare bones release and worth picking up if you remember this one from the 80's or are just interested in having some fun!
This is a must have if you are a fan of "American Ninja." The fact that it was released on Blu-ray would have been good enough, but the icing on the cake is the short feature about the making of the movie which includes interviews with the director and stars of the film Michael Dudikoff and Judie Aronson.
This remains one of my favorite 80s movies. The fact that is on blu ray is an overdue treat. Whatever it lacks on special features it makes up for by its endless 80s ninja action. You need this movie in your life, period.
If you love "American Ninja" and even if you own the previous 88 Films Blu ray, these is still a fine investment. The documentary on the disc is very informative and full of great nostalgia.
The A/V is virtually the same as the 88 Films release but the audio commentary is different and better, actually.
Classic 80's cheese, done well!
