About This Item

When Paul Janeway learned he was going to be a father he decided to scribe his thoughts - joy, fear, confusion - as messages to his then-unborn daughter. Those letters became Angels in Science Fiction, the stunning fifth album from St. Paul & The Broken Bones. Produced by Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price) at the legendary Sam Phillips Recording Studio in Memphis, it finds the band stretching further out, building on the shadowy psychedelia and intricate, experimental R&B of 2022's The Alien Coast. LP Packaging Clear LP Album Tracks 1. Chelsea 2. City Federal Building 3. Magnolia Trees 4. Sea Star 5. Heat Lightning 6. Angels in Science Fiction 1. Wolf in Rabbit Clothes 2. South Dakota 3. Plasmatics - Metal Priestess - VINYL LP
    5.0(4)

Metal Priestess is the 1981 EP by punk-metal band The Plasmatics, fronted by Wendy O. Williams. Dan Hartman, who produced acts such as 38 Special and James Brown, among others, had been working on a session in LA when he picked up a copy of Beyond the Valley of 1984 and couldn't stop playing it. It was Inchground breaking,Inch he said. InchI knew I wanted to meet these people and do something with them.Inch Dan came down to the Tribeca loft where he met Wendy O. Williams and Rod Swenson and a month later he and Rod Swenson were working on the production of the Metal Priestess EP. The creation of the EP is a result of the need to something due to their increasing popularity, with an album being premature, partly because Capitol Records was now making overtures for the next one. Metal Priestess was recorded at Dan's private studio off his schoolhouse turned home and studio in Connecticut and released early in the fall of 1981. Album Tracks 1. Lunacy 5 04 2. Doom Song 5 23 3. S*x Junkie 3 08 1. Black Leather Monster 3 39 2. 12 Noon 3 31 3.
