For my mother in law
|Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendMy mother in law was over hearing on the news that this movie is a good movie. But being that my mother in law is a lot older, she assumed it was a good movie because it was said on the news. She told me that she was only able to watch maybe about 1/4 or 1/2 the movie before she decided to turn it off because of the amount of gore there was in the movie. I would have to see if first before knowing if there is a lot of gore before even making a better rating for this movie.

Psychic
Posted .This Vietnam war based movie is a great movie that shows what kind of Psychological Pain and agony the Soldiers went threw. The major stars of this movie are Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Dennis Hopper and Harrison Ford. This movie is a Psychological adventure that will keep you thinking until the very end.

DO NOT BUY THIS STAND-ALONE VERSION
Posted .Redux is awful. Only the scene with Willard & Friends happening upon the French family along the river and some of the ensuing dialogues adds anything to the film. As for the remaining additions, if they aren't totally warping the originals portrayal of Willard, they're superfluous and redundant -- and coupled with some of the pacing problems they present, merely extend the run-time to a nearly intolerable length. I don't particularly care if it was Coppolla's true vision, it's inferior to the original theatrical version. I should add that, as a huge fan of the movie, I enjoy watching the additionally filmed segments (and they're all absolutely gorgeous), but within context of the film, they largely do nothing but hurt it. Instead, buy The Complete Dossier, which includes the original theatrical version and also comes with Redux.
