A lot of female friends have trouble finding an Android watch that isn't too big; not a problem for Apple users as the 38mm is perfectly sized for most women.–TonyMIL
This review is from Apple - Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS), 38mm Space Gray Aluminum Case with Black Sport Band - Space Gray Aluminum
The Apple Watch series 3 is one of the best gifts I ever received. I got it for Christmas. Personally, I like getting gifts that are useful and I can use all the time, and the Apple Watch was the perfect gift. I got the 38mm space grey, with a dark grey band and with only the GPS. The reason I went for this was because I liked how 38mm fit rather than the 42mm because the 38mm looked simpler on the wrist. Also, the same reason I went for the color scheme space grey and dark grey band because it was just simple. I went for the GPS only version because I don't think I really needed the cellular version because I always have my phone with me. It is a great option to have so maybe, I might upgrade in the future. Before receiving the Apple Watch, I never owned or really wore a watch frequently. But on special occasions, I would use my brothers for that night. I was debating if I would get up every morning and put it on right away. Since I have had for about 2 months, that exactly what I have been doing. It's on my wrist since the moment I wake up to the time I go to sleep.
The Apple Watch is very useful since I am into fitness and staying healthy. There are plenty of apps for the Apple Watch for fitness and health. When I go to work out, I can just leave my phone in the car and have my workout plan in my watch. There are pretty cool weather apps, games for when your waiting in line for something and your bored, and easy calculators to use to tip. One thing that I notice is the apps open really quick. There is nice features already installed, like, telling you to stand up for a minute or to just breath. When you misplace your phone, you can ping it from the watch and your phone will ring. I still haven't had use of the waterproof feature but it's a nice thing to have in case of an emergency. One really cool feature is the screen saver or the "Watch Face" for the apple watch. The default watch faces are photos, time-lapse, and animations. You can also have whatever photo you want that you find online or have in your photo album on your phone. Once you have found a screen saver you can choose what you see, for example, you can have showing the time, date, battery percentage, and the weather, or you can just have the date and time. The best feature for me is the battery life. The Apple Watch will last for a little more than two days, and it takes very little to fully charge. When you receive a notification from a sports app or a message it pops up just as it would from your phone. When you do receive a message, there is no key board to reply, you just speak what you have to say and it will send it. But in order to send and receive phone calls or messages you have to have your phone near you or you can upgrade to the cellular version, and send and receive phone calls whenever. You can put it on silent when you are in class or business meeting. You can control your music using Bluetooth. The Apple Watch has lots of cool little features and apps.
To sum this up, during the little time I have had the Apple Watch, I have no negative feedback and I really enjoyed have it on my wrist every minute of the day. It is a device the looks very simple from the outside but it is very complex and detailed in the inside. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys technology or is into health and fitness.

This review is from Apple - Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS), 38mm Silver Aluminum Case with Fog Sport Band - Silver Aluminum
I purchased an open box watch which I thought I would never do but so far, I haven't had any problems with the open box and even though it wasn't a huge savings, it was enough to cause me to get the 3 series instead of the 2. I bought this watch to replace a broken fitbit and I am so glad I did because it so perfectly pairs with my mac air, iphone 7 and ipad I own. I was surprised by friends that say they don't use many of the features on the watch because I am 60 (supposedly older people don't understand tech stuff) and I use so many features on this watch. I recommend you go online, download the instruction manual (over 300 pages) use the table of contents to skim what you don't think you'll need and read the parts you might use. In addition to all of the sport tracking features I love the little things, I can ping my phone (which I am always losing), it automatically opens my mac air, I can silent my phone without taking it out of my purse, I can see who is calling me and send a short response without taking my phone out of my purse, I can set up my clock face to my specifications so that I can see the time without my reading glasses or know what time it is in Dublin where my son lives. I can quickly make it waterproof before I wash dishes or bath the dog and if I want I can wear it when I swim laps at the YMCA but I haven't tried that yet. I guess you can tell I love this watch.

The best watch activity tracker around!

This review is from Apple - Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS), 38mm Gold Aluminum Case with Pink Sand Sport Band - Gold Aluminum
I crossed these reviews up. I have the 42mm version and I bought the 38mm version for my beautiful wife.
We both love these! I shared my experience with Best Buy in the other review and will focus on the watch here.
This seems to track steps and activity very well and has tons of options here. You can use GPS and track your runs, bike rides, swim, etc. you can also take a call on the phone, just like an iPad if the phone is nearby.
I got the gold, just because I liked the look of the case better than the space gray of the silver. I did want the Nike version, but that isn’t available in the champagne gold. It does come off with a bit of pink in the sun or with certain colors. I really like the look with a navy blue or a black band. I like the black metal loop one. It looks good. It also give the watch some weight, and the Nike version band with the holes for casual wear.
I spent a few days at the beach, and no, I did not swim with it, or even bring to watch to Florida. It’s a $300 watch, while I want the tracker, I don’t want sand and saltwater in my new watch. Even if they do say it’s waterproof.
I like how I can see the route I rode my bike or took a walk through. It shows the route with or without your phone.
The only think lacking on the watch is a sleep application to track your sleep of course. I was able to download and use one I really like, it’s called sleep watch. Very highly rated in the App Store.
Overall if you are interested I say try it. Best Buy has a 14 day return policy, so if it doesn’t work you can bring it back. I went into this with that mentality and love it.
One note, if you want a true “Dick Tracy” watch, you will pay $70 more for that version and whatever your cell phone provider charges you. For me it wasn’t a big deal. I can make and receive calls on the watch because my phone is usually with me, or at least on a WiFi where I am.
I have recommended this to several people.

This review is from Apple - Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS), 38mm Space Gray Aluminum Case with Gray Sport Band - Space Gray Aluminum
I had just purchased the series 2 when this one launched. Decided to return it and purchase the new series. I was still within the return window and the cost was only $30 more so I figured why not. I am very happy with my watch. I am really enjoy the convenience of being able to check my messages and track my workout while I'm on my bike without pulling my phone out of my bag. It serves me well at work when I don't want to miss an important phone call or message and can not have my phone within reach. The breathe function is great. It reminds me to take a moment and relax. I am a busy mom and also an anxiety sufferer. Sometimes you just need that reminder. The activity app is also motivating and reminds you to stand up during the day. I did not purchase the LTE version as I am one of those people that can't go anywhere without my phone so I did not see the point in my case. I do notice it is a bit faster and has more seamless transitions between apps than the series 2. However, I would have been equally as happy with the series 2. This might sound silly but the dark grey band option in the series 3 was a selling point for me. I really wanted a dark grey band that already came with the watch vs. buying an extra one. I'm a one band kind of gal and prefer one neutral band and did not want black. I think it is well worth the money. People spend the same amount of money (or more) on other brand name watches that do not do half as much. It is all personal preference and whether or not it is functional for you.

I bought this for my wife for Mothers Day because she is always putting her phone somewhere and not aware when it rings or she gets a text. Functionally, this served that purpose. It didn't do a whole lot more that had practical value to her. The problem came about two months later when the right side of the screen stopped having touch sensitivity. Her password needed that side so she couldn't use it at all. We took it to the Apple Store and they said the screen had an invisible crack, we were just after the 60-day window to buy AppleCare, and it would cost more than half the price of the watch to replace the screen. Unbelievable! My wife is pregnant and not doing any kind of physical activity that might have put the watch at greater risk of cracking, nor did she bang it against something. This occurred because day-to-day use. I understand why Apple would not warranty against a phone screen cracking - people have to do something like drop it to crack. A watch is worn on the wrist so there isn't much risk of dropping it. But, it is constantly at risk of coming into contact with stuff near one's hand. The screen should be manufactured to withstand that kind of exposure. Apple's decision to not make good on a high priced product like this so soon after purchase is absolutely ridiculous.

Bought this as a present for the wife who is not a fan of new technology but now loves this watch. I initially set it up for her with ease. Just followed the prompts and copied apps from iphone X to the watch in minutes.
The watch has sooooo many features and apps that all work seamlessly and quick on such a small screen. After talking with her friends who have the same watch and sharing tips/tricks, the wife LOVES the watch. With so many cool apps (heart monitor, fitness tracker, email, text, phone...) She is leaps and bounds ahead of what I can help her with now. Saying good things about the ease of use for even a new iphone watch user. The battery life is great around the house, outdoor fitness and running around town. The 18 hour battery life does hold true with minimal usage and playing around on the phone. I will say that the first day she took it to work (in a concrete building) that her watch died after 7 hours. Caused a little "speed bump" in her enjoyment of the watch but after searching for tips on battery life consumption, she adjusted a lot of the information being pulled to the watch continuously and the next day left work with 75% still available.
The construction of the watch is what I would expect from Apple. I will say that you need to make sure the band is "locked" into position. She must not have checked it after swapping bands and realized it wasn't locked into position. Seems silly but the band did look like it was installed correctly until she felt it slide while on her wrist, and realized it wasn't locked.
Overall, she is loving the watch and all of the features to include the cell phone service that works wonderful.

I am so disappointed. I purchased an Apple Watch 3 with cellular. I had owned an Apple Watch 1 and loved it and so I was excited about upgrading my product. After having the watch for about three months I started having problems. The Apple watch white logo go would appear. So I would reset the watch. I had to do this twice. Then one morning I started noticing cracks along the side. I took it to the Apple store and explained my situation. He told me that he could send it for repair but that I should be prepared for them to claim that I damaged it. I did nothing to it. I was always careful. I never even got it wet, even though Apple claims you can. I only owned a his for three months. I just received back my product with a letter claiming it can’t be repaired. So Apple no longer stands behind their products? And I’m out $350 after three months with nothing to show for it...that’s bogus!

Best answer: If I understand correctly, the cellular+gps is basically an additional phone line and therefore you wouldn’t need your phone nearby. The GPS only watches do require your phone to be within Bluetooth range.
Best answer: No, you cannot. You would need the GPS + Cellular in order to add cellular capabilities. If you think that it’s something you might want, you should spend the extra money and get that version of the watch.
Best answer: You would have to buy the one that has the cellular feature. You add it to your phone bill, I believe it’s $10 a month with Verizon. Probably same for other carriers. I have the 3 with gps but not with cellular and I love it. I always have my phone near me so I wouldn’t need the cellular
Best answer: Yes, as long as your smartphone is compatible and is Bluetooth enabled the mobile company does not matter. It is only a concern if you get a GPS and LTE model that you are going to use with a SIM card independently from a phone.
