Finally, Apple has created a unified Apple Gift Card that can be used to purchase hardware products at the Apple Store, Apple Online Store, as well as digital products services such as Apple Music for example, and singular purchases on things like songs, TV shows, movies, books, apps, and in-app purchases too. I also love the fact that you can deposit these gift cards into your Apple Account Balance for your Apple ID for convenience, but just keep in mind, that if you do this, the funds can no longer be used at a physical Apple Store.

I am happy that Apple is finally offering one universal gift card that can be used at physical Apple stores, their website, and across all of their other offerings. I like to keep credits on my AppStore account, so the digital gift card is an easy way for me to apply funds to my account with little effort. I usually receive digital cards that I order from Best Buy within 30 minutes. However, as a forewarning, once you add a gift card to you AppStore account, it can no longer be used in-store or on their website.

I buy them for myself, as needed, to have Apple Store credit. Why? To avoid many small recurring charges on my credit card, for things like monthly subscriptions. Redeeming is simple because it’s all digital (no physical card). Then, my Apple Store credit is used first, before those small charges hit my credit card.
