If you’re an apple person then you know the deal. Long lasting easy to use and a great buy that will last years to come. If you’re not an apple user you should definitely try starting out with an iPad. Affordable and I got myself a case with Bluetooth keyboard. Looks like a little laptop. All ready to play a game of monopoly with my husband. I’m definitely going to win!
The iPad Air 3rd generation is everything you’ve done to expect from an iPad. The 10.5” screen is bright and crisp and provides the perfect amount of real estate to easily switch between apps, conduct conference calls, browse the web, and read and compose emails with ease.
Hardware quality is excellent, just as you would expect from an Apple product. Battery life lasts multiple days without charging, through moderate usage.
This specific unit was purchased as a means for my 94 year old grandmother to stay in touch with family through social distancing measures. The cellular option allows her to FaceTime as well as send and receive photos and messages without having to have internet connectivity at home. For a small extra free on a monthly phone bill, it was well worth the investment!
If you are looking for the fastest and most functional iPad without paying the Pro price tag, this is the iPad for you. A huge pro is that TouchID and the 3.5mm headphone jack still exist on this model. Absolutely necessary for older individuals who might have difficulty with hearing, and won’t want to fuss with either Bluetooth headphones or setting up Face ID on a pro model.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants the best iPad for the most reasonable price!
Cellular connection worked instantly with AT&T SIM card insertion. My daughter loves the ability to create her art designs on the go, compliments of the Apple pencil 1st gen and Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. Processing speed of this new model is excellent, very happy with purchase. Just wish Apple allowed ability to expand internal memory capacity instead of having to rely on the Cloud.
I love this iPad so much. I had an iPad mini, but with only 32 GB’s of storage. I needed something with more storage, so I opted for a bigger screen as well. I will never own another brand of tablet. I have went through a lot of tablets over the years, until I got my iPad mini. Love apple!
This is the latest iPad called the 3rd generation Air iPad. Brilliant screen. All apps load and execute very fast. Transferred everything on my iPhone, including apps, to the iPad Air. Simply lay the two side by side. I did not connect my unlocked version to a mobile phone service. May do so at a later date. I learned i could connect without mobile hotspot to the internet through my cell phone. Connection speed was fairly fast. No mobile service fees. Uses 1st generation Apple Pencil and not the 3rd generation pencil. Blows away my older iPad.

The $499 iPad Air is a notable upgrade in almost every respect over the $329 iPad. It has a bigger, better screen, more storage and support for Apple's Smart Keyboard case. Unless you're on a tight budget, it's worth the extra cash and is probablyFull Review

A:AnswerThe cellular is for data (not phone calls). It allows you to use the iPad when there is no wifi but there is phone service. I also use it in situations where I am unsure of the integrity of the wifi itself. It can also be used for messaging. While most people don't get this option, I find it useful. In addition to the upfront cost there will also be a monthly charge for the cellular data service. I use AT&T. If you get it and, at some point don't want to keep it, you can cancel it and the iPad will then operate as a standard wifi only iPad. pay attention to any contract you may be asked to sign. There are several options if you shop around. Finally, you do not need the cellular if you want to Skype.
A:AnswerThe short answer is yes.
But it really depends on the plan that you are currently signed up for. Typically, any mobile plan that includes shared data AT&T has offered over the past 8-10 years will allow you to “add a line” of access for this iPad for $10/month (more like $15/month after taxes and fees). Then, any data you use on that line will be deducted from your data allotment. You can even add the line to your existing plan from the iPad itself! Easy as that!
