Great companion for any smartphone user!
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I honestly was never big on the idea of a smart watch. I was under the mindset that my phone does all of the same things, And it’s already mobile. However I must say, since I’ve had this watch almost a month now, it has been a great improvement to my every day lifestyle on all fronts. Not having to lug around my phone all the time is great, sometimes my phone just feels like a huge albatross that I’m forced to carry with me. However having this watch lifts some of that burden on the day to day. It’s pretty spectacular. It also runs all of my essential apps including my banking, sports as well as the essentials such as music apps like Spotify. All in all, I have thoroughly benefited from this Apple Watch, which is pleasantly surprising. Anyone will be able to find great uses for this watch. I didn’t think I would, but I did.

Simply the best smartwatch ever!
||Posted .I decided to jump into the smartwatch crowd with the series 4 and I couldn't be more pleased with this Apple Watch. It is the perfect compliment to my iPhone 8 Plus. It is a very intuitive design and you catch on fast with being a iPhone owner in the first place. The watch is fast and amazing. The setup on the Apple Watch is very easy and smart as well. I can say the speaker on this watch is very good and I don't have a problem taking calls on my watch occasionally. I bought the cellular version but have not turned it on yet so I can't comment on the cellular performance for now. I can say though that the wifi works perfectly in union with my phone which is usually near me at all times. I am sure when I hook up with cellular that this watch will be even more amazing in stand alone mode. The battery life is adequate to me since I am used to charging my iPhone anyway. I have noticed that with my setup I get about the same battery life on my phone and watch. I use about 50%, on the average, and sometimes feel I could get 2 days without recharging for the most part but I like to charge them up and top them off every night since it doesn't hurt the battery anyway. I was concerned about beating the watch up too much doing the things I do but can tell you the watch is robust and tough. I have installed and soft screen protector and a great bumper protector that is aluminum and the best I have seen in looks and performance. (Xdoria-Defence). I believe this watch is going to be very good resisting reasonable abuse. I have worn it in the shower to clean it up and have become confident in it's ability to resist water well, as advertised. I can't say enough good things about the Apple Watch and would recommend to anyone that loves solid reliable techy things. I bought the 44mm and the 40mm for my wife who also loves these things. Great product, and a great purchase that I happen to buy on a sale weekend at 50.00 discount to boot. If your on the fence about buying the new Apple Watch, don't be. It's solid, and the only thing I can hit about it is that it's pricey. But then, aren't most premium watches pricey? It should last a long time and I bought the Apple care Plus with what I saved in the sale discount. I'm happy with it so far!

What a difference!
Posted .Upgraded from a Series 3 LTE model, so I already knew LTE was the way to go again. The display—oh my goodness, the display! It’s hard to put into words the difference the display makes to the overall usability and aesthetics of the watch. Colors are richer than all prior series and the increased pixel density makes graphics sharper and text more readable at any distance. The Taptic feedback is improved overall and the addition of Taptic feedback to the crown is nice. Really seems like it should have been there from the start of Apple Watch. The speaker is MUCH louder, so I can see myself actually using it for phone calls, Walkie-Talkie and such (unlike the Series 3–it was hard to hear). Overall, the 44mm size compared to the 42mm I had before is only subtly apparent. But honestly it feels the same on the wrist. I would go so far as to say maybe even better due to how the slightly increased height of the watch allows the band (Sport Loop) to not be pulled across so much of the top of my wrist. Obviously that’s subjective based on wrist size/band style, but an observation nonetheless. The watch body is visibly thinner from the sides than previous series and really lends itself to a more sleek appearance. Oh, and for those who hated the Series 3 LTE crown with the hideous big red dot... it’s no more! At least on the Space Grey model, the red ring is there, but it’s subtle. Just enough of an accent to indicate the LTE presence without being gaudy about it. Thank you, Apple! I cannot speak to the ECG/EKG feature as it is not available yet. I also have not yet tested fall detection (not actively trying either, haha), though I do have it enabled. Like insurance, hope you never have to use it but when you need it, it’s invaluable. I could go on, but you really need to see it to get a full appreciation of the updates. Thanks for reading!

Great health app
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I thought the EKG app was unnecessary for me, but used it anyway. It said I had signs of AFib. . We told a nurse friend about the AFib . She checked my heart & said I need to go to Dr. I did the next day. I definitely have AFib. I’m on mediation now-temporarily. AFib found early and can be corrected. It could have gone undetected for a long time- or until I had a stroke or heart attack. Thanks Apple Watch!

Best Apple Watch To Date
||Posted .I bought this watch to replace my series 3 Apple Watch with cellular and GPS. The last model (Series 3) was meh at best. Was always glitchy and had connection issues when it came to cellular and not being tethered to my phone. Send my old watch to one of Apple‘s depots only to have it returned saying they found nothing wrong with it but I’m telling you, it under performed still. Not to mention the prior screen was not Oled and big enough. This watch is substantially thinner and sits better on my wrist as well. I love that I can use the bands still from my 42 mm old watch with this new 44 mm Apple Watch. The dial works smoother and overall navigation is much smoother.

So far, so good
||Posted .APPLE WATCH 44mm with GPS and CELLULAR. Didn't know if i really needed another electronic gadget as i have 2 Macbkook Pros, 2 mini pads, and an iphone 7+. Since I'm retired, I have more time to enjoy life with art classes, movies, many unread books, did i really need an Apple Watch? Well, the resounding answer is YES! Reasons: Being able to make and receive phone calls, send email and texts without digging through my purse to locate my iphone and doing this almost hands-free while driving, setting up the many health apps, to improve my health, the many interesting watch faces including favorite photos that can be shuffled, the falling feature if i were to stumble and need medical assistance, the feature that reminds me to do the breathing exercises, and i could go on and on. I'm still learning how to use this watch. Almost forgot, the long battery life, up to 3 days (usually 18 hrs. listed in manual) is very convenient. A full charge usually takes no more than 1/2 hr. Amazing! I did replace the watchband with a leather band as i didnt trust the band that came with the Apple Watch. (It slipped off twice). So far I'm very pleased. Will update later.

Alot of product for the price!
||Posted .Lets start off by saying, If you are not part of the apple eco-system... this is not for you. If you are.. this thing is amazing. Connects seamlessly(relatively..) to ALL of your apple devices, syncs, talks to and controls them with almost no effort. Needs to be just a little bit more stand alone! I expect A $500+ smart watch to just “handle it”! not tell me that the “companion app” or whatever, needs to “running” or “signed in” on my phone. All the processing power and memory and it still requires the phone for some apps. Could use a camera as well. I know, I know, I should be happy with what my “WATCH” does. Can always ask though! Overall wonderful device for keeping a person on schedule and up to date.

Best Smart Ever
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. In love with my Series 4 smartwatch. I’ve had the 1st & 3rd series and this one is by far the best! Great job apple...think this may be my forever watch. I really like how the face is thinner than before & it seems like the glass doesn’t scratch as easy. That was always a pet peeve of mine, I feel the cases make the watch too bulky. So far no need for a case or screen protector on the Series 4.

Q: QuestionHow scratch resistant it the screen? I frequently bump and scrape my watches in daily wear.
Asked by fos1.
- A:Answer The screens are pretty hardy due to the materials used. The screen on the aluminum version is Ion-X Glass (similar to Gorilla glass) whereas the screen on the stainless steel version is sapphire crystal. While both offer scratch resistance, sapphire crystal offers better resistance than Ion-X Glass. Despite these screens’ inherent scratch resistance properties though, if you bump and scrape frequently, you may want to consider a screen protector. I have used one on my Series 2 aluminum almost from the time of purchase over a year ago. I have no scratches or scrapes on my screen. The protector is barely noticeable, and does not interfere with usage. Except for the guy at Apple who put a new band on my watch a few months ago, no one has ever noticed the screen protector I am using. (Note: nothing went wrong with the original band, I just wanted another color option.)

Q: QuestionIf you currently have sprint service... can you order this watch Bestbuy and get service from sprint? Because I notice you can only pick Verizon or AT&T.
Asked by Fresh91.
- A:Answer I just contacted Sprint-they do not have the contract for the gold stainless steel with stone sports band-they contracted for the gold aluminum with the pink sports band and all Nike (ick) watches. They told me they will never have the gold stainless steel with stone band. Sad, isn't it..I wonder is the gold aluminum watch with a separately purchased stone band will work...?

Q: QuestionWhere are they getting the over 30% larger display? It’s more like 5%. The original is 42mm and this is 44mm. 30% of 42 is 12.6mm. So it should be 54.6mm if it’s 30% larger. Advertising math, you’ve got to love it

Q: QuestionIs it possible to purchase the Apple Watch and use it as a stand alone cell device? I don't want to deal with having a cell phone any more. I know it will NumberSync, but I don't want to have a cell phone at all.
Asked by DitchMyPhone.
- A:Answer In order to set up the Apple Watch 4, you will need an iPhone with the iOS Watch app, as well as a cellular plan with a cell provider that supports Apple Watch (such as T-Mobile, Verizon, ATT or Sprint.) As you note, the watch will sync up with the number of your cellular plan. The watch will share data from your data plan. You will also pay a fee to have the watch on your cellular plan (usually around 10.00 with autopay.) Once that is all set up, you can leave the phone at home and rely on the watch for functions like calls, texts, emails, health tracking and such.
