Fantastic monitering headphones
||Posted .If you are looking for good studio headphones these are your best option for the $$, diminishing return the higher you go in $$ from here. These are NOT for casual listeners however, they're designed to give a relatively flat frequency response. These are for producers, mixengineers, and others looking to monitor sound for accuracy. If you're into mixing and mastering try these in combination with Sonarworks software, you'll get the flatest sound possible. Even more I like to also use Waves NX software which gives them a simulated room sound. Try all three together and you'll be shocked at how much better your mixes start turning out!

Audio Technica ATH M50x Monitor Headphones
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Just what I needed for studio recording. These are pretty flat. They don't boost much so do your homework before you buy. (I went to the store to buy although I could have bought them online because I don't want these stores to close. Same price.)

Amazing quality!
||Posted .Great headphones, did my research online and a lot of people have said that the sound quality is fantastic, but they are uncomfortable for long use. I've used these for 4+ hours playing games, editing videos, streaming, etc. and I love these headphones, I can't explain enough how great they sound and how comfortable they are for me personally. If you're considering these do yourself a favor and pick them up asap!

Best headphones I’ve ever owned
||Posted .Was looking for some headphones for traveling and working near an airport (too loud to focus when there are planes flying over you all the time). These are the most comfortable, high quality headphones I’ve ever owned. My friend talked me out of purchasing some Beats and I’m so glad she did! The only negative I can think of is that wearing glasses with them gets a little uncomfortable after a few hours. So I just take breaks on days when I wear my glasses.

Audio Technica ATH-M50x Review: One of the best got better - MySmartPriceOn an average, casual music lovers seek a certain kind of oomph and pronounced bass response from headphones. Q: QuestionHow well does it cancel out surrounding noise, and how is the bass quality?
Asked by Bonkess.
- A:Answer Bass quality is great, but subjective from what you are coming from or have experience with. For instance, if you are used to Beats, or DJ headphones, these might seem to have more subtle bass, but only because they are more accurate to the original music file/production. Just like a home HIFI system, other brands engineer their headphones to emphasize the highs and lows. These might have a slight "smile" eq curve to them, but it's ever so subtle. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionAre these comfortable for long gaming sessions?
Asked by Reggie.
- A:Answer Thank you for your inquiry. I find them very comfortable in long studio sessions. Please note that these do not have a built in microphone that you may want for gaming.

Q: QuestionHello, is there a difference between ATH-M50x & the BT version in terms of the sound quality? My primary use is for mixing and mastering but would also like to use it for listening to casual music on the phone and iPad.
Asked by AJ.
- A:Answer Yes, there is. The wireless (Bluetooth) version of the headphone, the ATH-M50xBT, was specifically designed to sound like the original wired only version of the headphone, the ATH-M50x, when used in the wireless mode. As a result, when the ATH-M50xBT is used in the wired mode, it does not sound identical to the original wired only ATH-M50x.

Q: QuestionI am looking for a mixed feature of wired/wireless, as I would be using for music listening and auditing, but also times when I would just listen to various audios via my PC. Is there any such headphone available via Audio-Technica under $200.
Asked by KeenEarring.
- A:Answer I am a big fan of the ATH-M50X. You can buy a Bluetooth adapter for $50 that will plug directly into the headphone. This puts you at $200 all-in. The model number for the adapter is BAL-M50X.
