Boardwalk Empire: The Complete Third Season [5 Discs] [Blu-ray]

I ALWAYS PASSED BOARDWALK ON THE SHELF AND WOULD WONDER IF IT WAS A GOOD SERIES OR NOT. IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED IT YOU SHOULD, VERY HIGH PRODUCTION IN MY OPINION (WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM AN HBO SERIES)... SEASON FINALE WAS DEPRESSING THOUGH, I HATE WHEN THEY DO THAT. COMES IN THE FOLD OUT CASE WITH A JACKET, I ALWAYS RECOMMEND BLU RAY... THEY HAVE DONE AN AMAZING JOB ON ALL THE FINE DETAILS IN THIS SERIES

The show just keeps getting better and better every season. This one tops the other two seasons. It delivers one of the best supporting roles in a television series in years. At that's considering you had great shows like The Sopranos, The Wire and The Shield.. which all had great ensemble casts. This season of BWE is awesome!!

I've been hooked on this show! Since I don't have premium cable television like HBO, I decided I'd start this series. I had a gift card to Best Buy so I purchased season one and it's an incredible show! Great production, story arch is new every season, and the acting is beyond impressive! I bought it for $24.99 when it was on sale over Black Friday week!

Very fascinating features and well put together about the Roaring Twenties and prohibition in Atlantic City. The acting was great and portrayed the characters of the time in a real and believable way. The sets were so realistic you thought it was done in Atlantic City on the boardwalk. I am looking forward to watching season four when it is released.

I have seen all the episodes of Boardwalk Empire. An excellent description of about an underreported story. Organized crime in Atlantic City, Philly, and New York City has been rarely mentioned. The series does evolve into the more familiar Chicago days under Al Capone after 1925. Acting is first rate and the show deserved all the Emmys it won.

My spouse and I are pretty much addicted to the show! Not only that but we love that Besty Buy always has what we want in stock in store or online. My wife does all the online shopping and her first pick is always Best Buy because of their super fast and easy chekout and shipping.

After two solid seasons, Boardwalk Empire really took off in its third season. Better writing, a more gripping mix of plot and history, and a great villain - Bobby Cannavale's Gyp Rosetti. Only complaint is the show has a very measured pace that it doesn't always earn (unlike, say, The Sopranos or Mad Men).

If you like gangster flicks this series is a must have. It has action, gun fights, people betraying one another and criss cross back over. You watch Nucky Thompson savvy business man/treasurer become a cold blooded killer. The series is great. And as usual Steve Buscemi is a great leading role.
