Four longtime friends and book club members (Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen) have their lives upended when they aim to spice up their mundane routines by reading the provocative bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey. With newfound confidence, they each begin to come alive as exciting romances are ignited and old flames are rekindled. Through it all, the ladies inspire one other to make this next stage of their lives the best (and steamiest) thus far. Also starring Andy Garcia, Don Johnson and Craig T. Nelson. Bill Holderman directs.

... you should expect to see this movie cover listed. That's not a bad thing - in fact, this is a pretty good movie. These female stars are all well in to their latter years, and each struggles with relationships after years of ups, downs, career successes (and failures) and general aging. Some very funny moments, but if you're looking for car crashes or gun battles or something X-chromosome related - don't look here.
A good movie!
The Book Club is a movie worth watching even if you have already seen it at a movie theater. It’s not merely a funny movie for women, but rather a great movie for men as well. The lead actresses were funny and sympathetic. The movie was well organized, well paced, and well written. Invite your friends to come and watch it !
