Director Paul Feig and producer Judd Apatow team up again for this comedy that stars Kristen Wiig as Annie, a romantically unattached failed bakery owner who fears she's losing her BFF, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), the best thing in her life, when Lillian announces she's gotten engaged. Annie's anxieties deepen as Lillian grows close to Helen (Rose Byrne), a wealthy and beautiful new friend who quickly assumes control of planning all the pre-wedding festivities. On top of the main storyline of a female friendship being torn apart, the movie adds a romantic storyline for Annie, who starts the film answering a booty call from the casually cruel yet undeniably handsome Ted (Jon Hamm), but develops a lovely flirtation with an Irish cop named Rhodes (Chris O'Dowd) after he pulls Annie over one night thinking she's driving drunk. As the low-self-esteem Annie sabotages this new possibility for love, she also feels the most important friendship in her life slipping away.~Perry Seibert
Wow, what a movie. I went and saw it twice and paid full price. I never do that. So funny! Definitely full of a lot of female humor and mentioning of unmentionable things, not for the faint of heart. St. Louis native bad boy Jon Hamm was a treat to the eyes. Very caddy, but oh so handsome. The Canadian cop played by Chris O'Dowd is so cute! Just love that Irishman! I could watch him over and over again. Very funny guy - as well as the whole gal pal cast characters. The brits were funny too. Makes anyone having a bad day realize how lucky the are that they aren't having the multiple bad days the main character is having. Defnitely gives you some perspective on life. Things could be MUCH worse than the are. Songs in the movie were well chosen and went great with the movie plot. I bought the DVD. This is a keeper.

This movie is one of my all time favorites for girlfriends and more realistic than some out there. Absolutely hilarious unrated version!
This movie is funny from beginning to end. I was not familiar with Kristen Wiig before this movie, but I can't imagine anyone else in her role. The movie depicts how two close friends can fall apart, but in the end still be there for each other because no one knows them like they know each other. The movie has other known celebrities who play their parts really well. It shows what is involved in pulling a wedding together when there is clear differences of all involved. There is a lot of moving parts so it's difficult to put detail without going into a long explanations, but if you love comedies this is definitely a movie to see because you won't stop laughing.
The movie is funny from beginning to end. I seen some of the previews and I could not wait to see it. I finally bought it at BestBuy. When I finally got to see it, it was a good movie all the way. It is very funny. I love watching funny movies and this is definitely one to watch for laughter. There will be parts in the movie that will make you crack up out loud (cause I know I did,I ain't going to lie on that one). My kids wondered and asked what was I laughing about so much and so loud. Then they came and joyened me after they saw the good funny parts. I bought this movie for myself. It's in my funny movie collection.
