A: Calculator comes with an installed battery. It also has an installed solar cell, which will run the calculator for hours, once it is fully charged. The cell charges in any light, and I have run mine for many hours without a battery, since the solar cell is quite efficient. If you wish to replace the battery, you will need to buy only one--a model LR-54.
