My main reason for choosing this watch other than the price was the 10 year battery life and Casio name. It worked well for 8 months aside from the fact that with the 4 large buttons on the sides, the mode was accidentally changing all the time. But 8 months in, the watch went dead. Since it had a 1 year warranty I sent it in for repair thinking that no way it could be the battery. But low and behold it was the battery. They said that batteries went not covered under the warranty. I insisted that not only did they advertise that the battery has a 10 year life, it is also printed that way right on the watch. They wanted about the same amount I paid for the watch initially ... to replace the battery and ship the watch back. They also tried to tell me that Bestbuy.com online was not one of their distributors and my warranty was void. I said "no way" and persisted. They gave in and replaced and sent back no change. Now less than another 8 months later, the battery has died again. What a joke. How can they honestly say a 10 year battery life. It's a good thing, I guess, that the batteries are cheap ..... less than $3. But I am going to hang this watch up and get another. I won't be buying Casio again.
