Catch-22 has always been a hard novel to convert to film or television. But George Clooney and his creative team to the best they can to bring the anti-war story about World War Two bomber crews in Italy to life. While the satire does hit home fairly frequently, the focus is somewhat diffused over the length of perhaps too many episodes. And some of the changes made to the story to make the mini-series more TV friendly (like the stunt casting of Clooney and Hugh Laurie) were not the best idea.

Great show I had not heard of before
Owned for 1 week when reviewed.
The show is a fantastic homage to the book. I read the book back in high school and remember laughing out loud while reading. Now seeing it on screen pulls me in to the crazy world of war that I both abhor and find funny in its outrageousness. Dive in. You will be glad you did.
