Q: QuestionDoes it require internet connection to trace and find the planets?(2 answers)
A: AnswerNo internet connection needed! The on-board NexStar hand controller is used to locate objects. Simply align the telescope using the simple Sky-Align routine and you are set. It's a simple process that allows the telescope to become "aware" of where objects are located. Then simply use the controller to tell the telescope what object you want to look at. Our NexStar telescopes are super easy to use!Answered by Telescope
Q: QuestionCan you connect a DSLR to take pictures?(1 answer)
A: AnswerYes, you will need Celestron's T-Adapter for Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope and a Celestron T-Ring made specifically for your camera brand. Sincerely, Garrett at CelestronAnswered by Telescope
Q: QuestionDoes it come with the stand(2 answers)
A: AnswerYes, the tripod is included.Answered by CommunityAnswer
Q: QuestionDoes it include a power supply?(1 answer)
A: AnswerThe Nexstar 8se ships without a power supply. The telescope's native power supply is internal AA batteries. Accessory power supplies, like the Celestron 2-amp and 5-amp wall adapters, car battery adapter, or any of the Celestron Powertank batteries will power the Nexstar 8se.Answered by Telescope
- A: AnswerThe Nexstar 8se is a visual use telescope. It has no built-in imaging system or wifi connection. Only the Celestron Origin telescope has this capability. You can add third-party cameras to the Nexstar 8se and broadcast an image from the camera control laptop, but Celestron does not sell the gear needed to broadcast images to a remote viewing device.

Q: QuestionWhat is the maxomum magnification achievable with this device?(1 answer)
A: AnswerThe maximum magnification of a telescope is variable depending on how stable the atmosphere is. The accepted rule of thumb to prevent using excess magnification that will degrade the image is 30X per inch of telescope aperture. Thus, the Nexstar 8se will handle up toi 240X. Our 9mm eyepieces will deliver 222X with this telescope.Answered by Telescope
Q: QuestionIs it an Equatorial stand with 2" legs?(1 answer)
A: AnswerThe Nexstar 8se comes with an alt-az mount with legs just under 2 inches in diameter. If an equatorial mount is needed, the Celestron 8 telescope will work perfectly on the AVX mount, which does have 2-inch legs. The C-8/AVX package can be seen here: https://www.celestron.com/products/advanced-vx-8-schmidt-cassegrain-telescopeAnswered by Telescope
Q: QuestionDo you have 11 inch?(1 answer)
A: AnswerCelestron offers an 11-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope, available in both classic and Edge HD optical configurations and available as a optical tube, or combined with either the CPC, CPC Deluxe, AVX, CGEMM II, CGX, or CGX-L mounts. Not all retailers stock the larger C-11 and you may have to contact a dedicated astronomy dealer to purchase the C-11.Answered by Telescope

Awesome!
Amazing telescope for the cost. We saw the rings of Saturn this summer and the moon looked close enough to touch. It does take some tweaking to get the settings right and you need to buy the add on kits with the eyepieces to do it right.

This is a good professional starter telescope.
This telescope is great to have and the price is reasonable. Extra eye pieces and storage bag needs to be bought on the side.
