About This Item

Vinyl LP repressing. Cheap Trick is the first studio album released in 1977 by the American rock band Cheap Trick. Most of the songs have a more raw sound akin to hard rock bands of the period compared to the group's later more polished power pop style, and the song lyrics deal with more extreme subject matter than later albums. For instance, "The Ballad of T.V. Violence" is about serial killer Richard Speck, "Daddy Should Have Stayed in High School" is about a pedophile, and "Oh Candy" is about a photographer friend of the band, Marshall Mintz (a.k.a. "m&m") who committed suicide. This album, along with the following three albums, are considered by fans and critics to be Cheap Trick's best works. This one, however, is more known for capturing both their dark side and the fierceness of their early live performances more than any other studio in their catalog. The album was produced by Jack Douglas, who had achieved a similar sonic density with the blues-rock/hard rock band Aerosmith, and the album sounds quite different than subsequent Cheap Trick records. Jack Douglas later worked with the band on the Found All the Parts EP, on the album Standing On The Edge, as well as on a re-recorded version of "Surrender" in the late 1990s and on a few tracks on Rockford.

Van Halen - Van Halen - VINYL LP
    5.0(20)

Limited 180 gm vinyl LP pressing. With their 1978 eponymous debut, Van Halen simultaneously rewrote the rules of rock guitar and hard rock in general. Guitarist Eddie Van Halen redefined what the electric guitar could do, developing a blindingly fast technique with a variety of self-taught two-handed tapping, hammer-on's, pull-offs, and effects that mimicked the sounds of machines and animals. It was wildly inventive and over the top, equaled only by vocalist David Lee Roth, who brought the role of a metal singer to near-performance art standards. Mastering engineer Chris Bellman, who remastered the original albums at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios, was enlisted for this new version. In order to produce the original sound the band intended, Bellman cut straight from the quarter-inch tapes. Album Tracks 1. Runnin' with the Devil (2015 Remastered Version) 2. Eruption (2015 Remastered Version) 3. You Really Got Me (2015 Remastered Version) 4. Ain't Talkin Bout Love (2015 Remastered Version) 5. I'm the One (2015 Remastered Version) 1. Jamie's Cryin' (2015 Remastered Version) 2. Atomic Punk (2015 Remastered Version) 3. Feel Your Love Tonight (2015 Remastered Version) 4. Little Dreamer (2015 Remastered Version) 5. Ice Cream Man (2015 Remastered Version) 6. On Fire (2015 Remastered Version)

2014 is the 20th anniversary of TICAL, the debut solo album of Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man, released November 15, 1994, on Def Jam Records. Similar to all first generation solo Wu-Tang projects, TICAL was mainly produced by group member RZA. The album features guest appearances from several Wu-Tang members including RZA, Raekwon, & Inspector Deck. The album was a commercial success, reaching number four on the Billboard 200, and number one on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. On July13, 1995, it was certified platinum. This success was driven by it's two singles, 'Bring the Pain' and 'I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By'.
