A: Footprint is square - 13" x 13" The handle in the front sticks forward about 2" The vent in the back suggests 5" from the nearest obstruction. So, in addition to the physical footprint, the space needed would be 13" wide x 20" deep And, the height is 14"
Q: Are you supposed to take off the four silicone potectors on the rack or leave them on?
A: I leave them on so it prevents scratching up the sides. Plus silicone is high heat resistant so it's okay to leave it on.
Q: does this air fryer have pre heat feature?
A: No it does not. I just manually set the time to 5 minutes to preheat it.
A: I used it yesterday and it looks like after about 30 mins or so it will finally shut off and just keep the "start" button lit. Works great so far.
Q: Can you use it to toast bread?
A: Yes
A: If you are cooking for 10 minutes or more without interruptions the shake light will come on to let you know. But if you open it prior it will not come on.
A: The Chefman website shows 1000w however the bottom of the box shows 1700w
Q: What are the measurements on the internal basket?
A: Approximately 10" wide X 5" deep. 8qts capacity.
