During continuous burst shooting, press an assigned custom button to change the shooting speed — for example, from 10 fps to 30 fps*16 — when the key moment approaches. This feature can be used even while shooting single frames.

Even when Subject Recognition is turned off, Sony’s original algorithm processes multiple data points for reliable tracking.
Approx. 94% AF coverage for extra framing freedom
Fast readout and processing deliver notably improved AF. 759*19 phase detection points cover about 94% of the image area for precise focusing for shooting stills, even when the subject is small in the frame.
Precise AF in low light
Enjoy reliable AF at light levels as low as EV-6*20, or EV-11*21 with Bright Monitoring enabled. The AF can also be limited to long-distance ranges for shooting low-light distant scenes*22.
