A: Just remove the metal mesh basket and use the paper cones in the remaining plastic basket. Both the metal and plastic baskets are removable for cleaning but the plastic one is necessary for proper Operation
A: I'd say it's a good quality brand. I've had my old Cuisinart coffeemaker for over ten years and it's always been so quiet. It still works but I just wanted something newer and more modern-looking so I purchased this 14-cup one but it makes these loud banging sounds inside when getting to end of brew, strange. Called Cuisinart and the lady said it shouldn't do that and to return it so I did. I am buying the same one again to see if it was only that particular one making loud noises. I have read a few other similar reviews about loud sounds. :/ Some have said it's quiet so trying my luck to see if I get a quiet one this time. Not much help maybe but just sharing my experience. :)
A: #4 cone shape filters. It comes with a permanent filter, which we use, but I like to use a disposable one and double filter... just my thing
A: Maybe you do NOT have the holder fully seated so the release button on the bottom is pushed in by the carafe. It won't let the coffee through if not fully seated.
Q: There is an x on a symbol under the pm on the clock. What does this mean.
A: That means that you have shut off your tone
Q: Does this Coffee Maker have a Cone Filter? Or is it the shorter cup looking filter
A: The filter is a gold permanent cone type filter. Very easy to clean. You can use paper filters if desired as well.
A: Thank you for asking this question, because it finally forced me to read the manual. Running to the coffee maker every hour, on the hour, to hit the "Brew" button was getting a little frustrating. Quick answer is yes. I just read the instructions and tried it myself. You can set it to turn off after brewing, anywhere from zero minutes to 4 hours. All you have to do is hold down the "Brew" button for about 3 seconds, and release the button when the screen starts flashing (it will look like it's flashing the time of day; "2:00" for example). The number that is flashing is the number of hours and minutes that the coffee will stay hot. You can increase and/or decrease the amount of time it will stay on using the "Hr." and "Min." buttons on the left and right side of the screen. Once you've settled on that, push the "Brew" button to save it. I was really driving myself nuts over this issue, so I really am glad you asked the question. Also, here's the link to Cuisinart's page where you can download the instruction manuals for coffee makers: https://www.cuisinart.com/manuals/coffee_makers/ You'll have to scroll down the page quite a ways to find the DCC-3200P1. It's about five rows from the bottom of the page, far right column.
