A: I made the purchase on the same day it came back in stock (4/16). To my dismay the one I received still has the Smart Controller pictured. I've read that most of the ones that come with RC Pro will have the RC pro pictured (while still saying Smart Controller in the text) and state the model number of the RC Pro as well. Not mine, I am certain it is still the SC pictured, also states RM500 for controller model. I have also read that in some cases people have gotten the RC Pro when it showed the picture of the SC, but that is not enough for me to open the box and pay the restocking fee. Will be returning unless I can get a definitive answer in the next day or two. Also the production date on this one is 3/2022, I contacted DJI multiple times and each rep has told me the same thing in a very vaque way, they are packed "randomly" and they have no way of knowing except certain "case by case" instances. I have also tried to look for the model number and have not been able to find either 01 or 02, just different EAN and UPC codes. Best of luck
Q: Is the DJI Air 2S combo selling with the discontinued Smart Controller or the new RC Pro Controller?
A: You can get the air 2s with the new RC pro controller on b&h for the same price, its a WAY better deal.
A: The smart controller that comes with the advanced package for both the air two in the Mavic three, is the same as the $1200 individual smart controller that Best Buy offers. It is worthwhile buying the advanced units that include the smart controller, because you save some money.
Q: Is this controller the smart controller or the RC pro?
A: This is the smart controller. Most retailers besides best buy are selling the new rc pro combo for the exact same price.
Q: With the smart controller, if I purchase another drone (Mini 3) later on, is it compatible????
