Great game
||Posted .Owned for 8 months when reviewed.Story: As I said, this was my first DOOM experience so I didn't know if I would be engaged, but I loved it. The amount of lore hidden around the world was amazing, and truly brought the player into the world of the Slayer. I know some people disliked the use of cut scenes in this game, but I thought they were a pleasant respite from the action and helped to flesh out the story, especially if you didn't feel like reading all of your Codex entries mid-game. The Fortress of Doom also made the character feel more real than I was expecting. 10/10 Aesthetic: Beautiful, brutal, grisly fun all around. Being able to see the damage done to individual demons is incredibly cool, and adds a pseudo-health bar that is so unique. the environments are massive and well thought out. I truly enjoyed looking at this game as I played it and took time to take in the scenery. Plus the music is so intense and perfect for the feel of the game. 10/10

Rip and Tear
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This game is fun. And it is brutal. It can be too difficult if you don't play Doom as it's meant to be played: Keep moving. Never stop. Use all of your weapons. Use all of your tools. The blistering action is thankfully backed up by a constant 60 frames per second, and (especially on Xbox One X) the game looks great. Even more verticality is added to the Doom gameplay, and you'll be swinging on bars and dashing through the air just as much as you're killing demons. Unfortunately, the new level of movement also brings the pace of the game to a halt sometimes when you're left scratching your head, wondering where the heck you're supposed to climb up. I will again reiterate that this game can be difficult. If you're not already familiar with DOOM 2016, then I suggest playing on the easiest difficulty and getting all the powerups before tackling Ultra Nightmare mode. Turn up the volume and prepare to do some ripping and tearing!

Beautiful dance of CHAOS!
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. You are gonna get this game for it's awesome first person shooter gameplay! Put that in your mind first and for most because that's what Doom has always been. While the campaign is a step up in every way to 2016's game with much better level design, vibrant colors, story beats and cutscenes, and things to do, the core best part is the wrecking of demons by YOU. It's really gonna challenge you to micromanage the tools at your disposal rather than just move and shoot and I love that. Even though I'm giving it 5 stars, the game isn't perfection (I'd like to give 4.5) since there is some things in it's great campaign that slow down the pace a bit more than I'd like and the multiplayer Battlemode is fun, but more just a topping on the cake you'll be eating. Those things can be looked past though for this game's absolutely AWESOME FPS campaign.

Doom 2016 evolved
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. In lots of ways it’s pretty hard to improve upon the Doom 2016 so instead I feel like Eternal pivoted towards being more of a technical shooter than it’s predecessor. Enemies have weak spots, attack patterns and there’s always a “right” weapon or mod for the job which is a little bummer as it takes away some improvisation. I liken Eternal more to like if they Mads a modern Contra and made it an FPS. My one major gripe is I found it too easy to frag staggered demons which kinda sucks since I often needed that glory kill health bump. So at the end of the day it’s still a fantastic and fun game but playing on difficulty levels like Ultra Violence(I beat it on UV) or higher demand you learn and master the game. Both 2016 Doom and Eternal are great games but they have different visions on how they achieve that.

Rip & Tear, Until It Is Done!
||Posted .Owned for 8 months when reviewed.easily the best game of 2020. I've been playing this game for months, and it has yet to get boring. thankfully the game has been getting updates outside of the DLC's, with a recent update being a brand new addition to the Master Levels. everything from the music to the gameplay to the level design to the art style to even the demons & guns themselves, there's a reason why id Software is still a force to be reckoned with even after almost 30 years. you wont find a better FPS game in 2020 and/or 2021 than this.

Tons of fun! But maybe too difficult...
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I have loved the DOOM franchise ever since the original. I thought Doom 2016 was a great return to form, but was a very fresh take on the franchise and the genre. DOOM Eternal, in my opinion, carries this notion further, but it might have ventured a little too far into the silly range. The story is a little dumb - even dumber than the previous game's story, but not as funny. The parkour is a nice break from fighting, but I almost thought there was too much parkour and not enough shooting. The difficulty of the fights, at times, is a little too much for a mediocre player such as myself. It's a great challenge, and even on the lowest difficulty, some of the later levels / arena battles are a bit much.

One of the best FPS Doom games to date!
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed. While I will admit since their are many different varieties of FPS games available now, that Doom may not be a current generation fan favorite. Though, if you have been around since the original put down the foundation for FPS games you won't be disappointed with Doom Eternal. This game is a fast paced heavy hitter with many secrets and plenty of enemies coming at you from all angles to keep you busy for a long time. Graphics are excellent and do not disappoint. If their is one thing the game lacks is the story seems a bit bland, but don't let that sway you from many hours of FPS fun!

Doooom how it is supposed to be!
||Posted .Owned for 6 months when reviewed.Once you pick up the controller and start playing this game you're in for one hell of a ride. the story as well as the graphics the guns everything about this game is awesome and true to the original source material. The New edition of the grappling gun in the double jump definitely enhance the gameplay and make it so that you can seamlessly move around the arena and destroy enemies. Would highly recommend.
