Two of the tag's early tracks by Monyaka and Hot Streak, were released by Polydor Records resulting in two UK Top 20 hits, and both tracks' full length versions feature here, along with a further 12 tracks, on this 40th Anniversary celebration. Easy Street had massive underground classics by producers which read like a who's who of dance music; Paul Simpson, Jellybean, Blaze and Todd Terry to name but a Even after 40 years, Easy Street remains influential, with it's Artists still finding themselves at the top of the Traxsource Charts, with re-worked or remixed versions of Easy Street classics. With their second proper album Meat Is Murder, The Smiths began to branch out and diversify, while refining the jangling guitar pop of their debut. InchThe Headmaster RitualInch and InchI Want the One I Can't HaveInch are fine elaborations of the formula they laid out on the debut, while InchRusholme RuffiansInch is an infectious stab at Rockabilly. Such was their creative thrust at this point; they were seen as the most important British band since Joy Division. Digitally re-mastered edition of this 1994 album, One of the most popular and successful underground bands of the early/mid-'90s, California's JAWBREAKER melded raw vocals, a driving rhythm section and grinding guitar with complex song structures and literary lyrics, forging a distinctive style that has since influenced a generation of independent music. By the end of 1993, Jawbreaker was in full stride. The band had completed a full US tour in the summer, played several shows that October with Nirvana, and was attracting significant major tag attention. 24 HOUR REVENGE THERAPY was Jawbreaker's third album. After the more progressive BIVOUAC, the trio had returned to a straight-forward, pop sound, and the resulting full-length is widely regarded as their best.
