Edifier - R990BT 2.0 Active Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers, Powered Studio Monitor Computer Speakers, MDF Enclosure, 24W RMS (Pair) - Black

This is my second set of Edifier speakers. I previously purchased the R1380T speakers for my home office computer, and I’ve been very happy with their quality and sound. Based on that experience, I decided to purchase the R990BT for another room. As expected, the R990BT delivered the quality I’ve come to expect from Edifier. The sound is rich and clear, and the bass is surprisingly strong for speakers with such a relatively small profile. They provide plenty of sound for everyday listening without taking up a lot of space. The packaging was elegant, secure, and very easy to unpack. Setup and connectivity were also extremely straightforward. Bluetooth pairing was quick and hassle-free, and the included cables provide several connectivity options if you prefer a wired connection. There are a couple of features from my R1380T that I do miss. The R1380T has a remote control and separate bass and treble controls, which provide a little more flexibility for adjusting the sound. The R990BT does not include those features. However, the R990BT has one major advantage that my existing R1380T does not: Bluetooth connectivity. This is a huge benefit because I can stream music directly from my phone or other devices without having to turn on the computer. It is especially convenient when we have people over or when I want music in another room, such as the gym. Considering the sound quality, build quality, connectivity options, and Bluetooth capability, I think the R990BT is priced in the sweet spot. In my opinion, it offers a lot of performance for the money and is a very good bang-for-the-buck purchase. Overall, I’ve had a very positive experience with the R990BT. My experience with Edifier’s previous speakers led me to buy these, and the R990BT has lived up to those expectations. I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone looking for compact, great-sounding powered speakers with Bluetooth at a reasonable price.

I am absolutely blown away by the quality of these speakers for the price. The sound is very full, with options to customize it within the companion app, and these things can knock your socks off with how loud they can get. When I was listening to music at a comfortable level, the volume on my phone was never above 50%. Pairing these speakers to my phone via Bluetooth was a breeze and, even though I only really listen to music via Bluetooth, I appreciate the option to have a wired connection. The time it took from opening the box to playing music was about 10 minutes and was very plug and play. As someone who has never run speaker wire, it was a cool and rather intuitive experience to connect these speakers with the included wiring and, in my opinion, adds to the quality of these speakers. As an added bonus, the speaker wire that’s included is long enough where these speakers now live on the nightstands on either side of my Queen-size bed. Overall, these speakers are fantastic for the price. I absolutely love the sound quality of these things and how easy they are to set up and connect to my phone. If you’re on a budget and looking for some high-quality speakers, these are for you!

These speakers complete my office set up. I was looking for speakers that look good and can fit on a bookshelf for use in my office where I play music while I work. I am always nervous when I open a box of electronics but these were very easy to set up. The only think you have to do is connect the wires to the speaker and the power cord. I play piano music and pop/rock music. Both sound great on the system. Wireless is a bonus and it was easy to connect to from my phone. The price was affordable and they seem very good quality. I’m happy with them and would recommend them.

I have a couple of pair of Edifier speakers so didn't hesitate to buy these for our TV. Edifier makes a dynamite speaker in general for the best price I've seen for speakers this good. The bass on these is excellent and the app allows you to customize the sound for what you are listening too. For the size and the price, you won't be disappointed. And you won't be disappointed really in ANY of the Edifier speakers! I highly recommend.

These speakers are tuned for a natural sound rather than heavy bass. The built-in digital amplifier features Dynamic Range Control which evens out those sudden volume peaks. The midrange is crisp and clear. The bass has some punch for the size of these speakers. Overall, these speakers maintain a clean balance of sound quality across mixed genres of music, podcasts, dialogue, and movies. For the money, these are a fantastic buy.
