Best ABR Album yet. Period. Favorite Album

I've followed this band for several years. All of their old stuff and new stuff included. Certain people have bashed that this album saying it sounds like their old stuff or the exact same as everything else. Or the random country sounding parts, how it sounds bad. Well, this band is the most consistent in producing songs with such in depth instrumentals while being backed by extremely strong and meaningful lyrics. This band does what today's music industry completely(COMPLETELY) lacks. The creativity the band carry's into this album is the best and most thorough I've seen yet. The band as a whole works together using beats, riffs, chuggs, and solos (from every member), to create a mind blowing masterpiece of a symphony only someone with a concise mind in music could completely comprehend. It has taken my brothers a few months to come around to listening to this band. Once this album came out, they were hooked. The first instance music is being played within our car, they're the first people who throw in this cd to listen to(over and over). I could go on for several hours explaining how incredible this band is and how much I enjoy both the instrumentals/vocals and the message of this group(but seeing as it's now 5 in the morning, ill have to end). If you were looking to buy an album to try something new with a little more detail to the actual music; This is it. Bravo Abr, see you December 16th. Got a VIP ticket ;)

I was really hyped up for this album but I was disappointed. Before I review this album I would just like to say that this is my thought on it. In no way am I trying to talk you out of purchasing this album. My 2 complaints with this album are. 1. Almost every song slows down a bit too long before picking back up. 2. There's this sort of country sound to certain songs. So other than that the album's okay. Before you spend your hard earned money on buying this album listen to this album in its entirety on YouTube & make the call for yourself.

ABR, Christian metalcore mainstays released Found In Far Away Places, their sixth album and label debut for Fearless Records. The excellent new album is bursting with all of the positive lyrics, raging riffs, brutal breakdowns and off-kilter time changes that you have come to expect from the band but well-placed experiments with soaring and waltzing old world-style orchestration bring a fresh approach to their unrivaled sound. Jeremy McKinnon of A Day To Remember contributes vocals to another standout track, “Ghosts”

This band is hitting it on all strides with their newest release. Sure longterm fans will say "it's not their best" simply because it's the newest, but this album keeps you guessing with its prog breakdowns while remaining true to their hardcore roots. While most bands around their age are softening up for the mainstream, August Burns Red is developing Grammy Nominations for doing what they do best... rocking the eff out.

I have followed ABR since there first album and had the chance to see them on their first tour to Portland, OR. I have to say this album is my favorite of the lot. That being said make sure you get the album with all 14 songs (bonus tracks included). Every single one of these songs is a masterpiece. The guitar work is unreal, the drums as always are top notch, matt once again proving why he is one of the best metal drummers around.

August Burns Red are a band that always puts a lot of effort and heart into their music and Found In Far Away Places is no exception! I love the riffs and breakdowns on this album, ABR have a creative style of writing that sets them apart from other metalcore bands and allows them to continue to define the genre. ABR are one of the most exciting metalcore bands around!

These guys know how to write great music. Not just metal, but great music in general. In fact, several of the songs take bits of influences from other genres. There's a surf rock part on the song "Identity" and an old west kind of sound on "Majoring In The Minors", all the while remaining super heavy. I thoroughly enjoyed this album!

August Burns Red did a fantastic job with this album. It's the kind of album that you would listen to to get pumped up for something, most likely issues concerning the planet and society in this case. My favorite song would have to be "Ghosts". I would definitely recommend this album to anyone considering the purchase.
