A hopeful musician named Jon (Domhnall Gleeson) joins an eccentric pop band led by an eccentric creative mastermind named Frank (Michael Fassbender), who conceals his true identity beneath a giant paper mache head. Frank supposedly adheres rigorously to the ethos of making music purely for the joy of doing it, but as Jon's influence in the band grows, Frank proves to be capable of a less-enlightened view.~Cammila Collar

After seeing the trailer for this movie, I knew I had to buy it when it was released on blu-ray.
It is a little quirky movie about an aspiring songwriter that joins a band with a leader that wears a fake head. The rest of the band members have their own problems as well & chaos ensues when all these personalities clash.
The movie is funny & sad at times with an ending that I found to be satisfying, but most people I talked to found it to be sad.
this is a great movie for anyone who loves music and the people who make it. I came away from the movie with a few interpretations. Not that it's particularly metaphorical, it's just that there were some lessons that are quite valuable to be seen in this movie.
