    • Lens Mount Compatibility: Fujifilm X-Mount
    • Lens Type: Standard Zoom
    • Minimum Focal Length: 120 millimeters (The minimum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The shorter the focal length, the greater the area of scene captured.)
    • Maximum Focal Length: 18 millimeters (The maximum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The greater the focal length, the smaller the area of scene captured.)
    • Maximum Aperture: f/4 (The limit to how wide a lens can be open, typically expressed in f-numbers. The smaller the number, the larger the aperture and the more light that can enter the lens. A larger aperture creates a shallower depth of field, helpful for keeping subjects in focus and blurring background details.)

Developed in collaboration with the engineers and experts responsible for the design of Fujifilm’s FUJINON Broadcast and Cinema Lenses, FUJINON XF18-120mmF4 R LM PZ WR lens brings video-centric features to a compact, weather-resistant lens that is ideal for smaller, independent crews and moviemaking enthusiasts. Its versatile, 35mm equivalent focal range of 27-183mm and 60cm (23.6in) close focusing distance make it ideally suited to a wide range of applications from documentary to narrative projects. Its internal zooming mechanism also makes it the perfect choice for gimbal stabilization devices as the lens’ physical length and center of gravity does not shift when changing focal lengths. Automated controls provide precise control over zooming speed and stepless aperture adjustments, with seamless switching between continuous AF and manual focusing giving filmmakers complete creative control over where and when to draw a viewer’s attention.

  • 35mm focal length: With a 35mm zoom range equivalent to 27-183mm, a close focusing distance of 60cm (23.6in) throughout, and near-silent zoom and focusing controls, XF18-120mmF4 R LM PZ WR is perfect for a broad range of motion production applications.
  • f4 maximum aperture: When considering the lens’ minimal focus breathing, stepless aperture control, and constant f4 aperture. Pull focus, make precise adjustments to iris, or change focal length without causing any noticeable distractions to the recorded footage.
  • Well balanced zoom lens: This lens compact dimensions and internal zooming mechanism make it an ideal solution for use with a gimbal because its physical length does not change when the zoom setting is changed. This results in a variety of creative options with the use of only one lens.
  • Conventional focus ring: A conventional focus ring provides manual focus control, while a new innovative zoom lever offers variable zoom speed. Two custom function buttons, meanwhile, allow for the ability to preset a constant zoom speed, focal length, or focus point.
  • Filter size: 72mm filter size

XF70-300mmF4-5.6 R LM OIS WR makes it easy to take super telephoto photography with you on your greatest adventures and create images that convey the true excitement and awe of the experience. This remarkably versatile X Series zoom lens offers an equivalent focal range of 107-457mm and a minimum close focusing distance of 32.7in (0.83m) throughout, achieving 0.33x maximum tele macro magnification. Massively underrated lens.

I've had this lens for about six months and feel I've used it enough to give an comprehensive review. I bought it during Fuji's Christmas discounts for $699. This lens is massively overlooked in the Fuji lens lineup. This lens is sharp, focuses quickly, accurately and quietly. It's weak spots are the at extremes of the range (18 with weaker corners and 120 some loss of resolution and contrast) but it really shines at F4 in the highly useful 23-60mm focal range and is very strong at the longer end if stopped down to 5.6. Even at F4 at the long end it's not bad. It's image quality is superior to the much loved Fuji 18-55mm F2.8-4 (which I own) and unlike the 18-55, it focuses accurately. The 18-55 in my experience back focuses extremely often in zone continuous autofocus, to the point that I often use single point focus to get proper focus. The 18-120mm on the other hand focuses accurately with my cameras (X-T30ii and X-S20) in zone autofocus, eye tracking etc etc The recent firmware update fixed the exposure stepping issue and now it is essentially eliminated. The body of the lens is plastic but it is of high quality and keeps the lens light. It is an internal zoom lens as well with weather sealing and has a fluorine coated front element. I've used it in dusty windy and wet conditions etc with zero fear of internal dust or moisture issues etc. I have several external zoom lenses for various systems that are known to be "dust pumps" and I won't use in certain scenarios. Compared to the Fuji 16-80mm, if your camera has IBIS I would choose the 18-120mm over the Fuji 16-80mm lens every time. It is the superior lens. If you value having the ability to take shots with slow shutters speeds (16-80mm has OIS) with a camera without IBIS, or feel you need the 16mm focal range then I would go for the 16-80mm, even though it is an optically inferior lens. In all other circumstances, I would choose the 18-120mm. I believe it is Fuji's best all purpose lens but has undeservedly gotten a bad rap because people were angry that it did not fix the exposure stepping issue that has been a known issue on Fuji bodies when zooming in video. That has largely been fixed now with this lens. On sale it's a no brainer purchase. At full price it's a tougher decision with some good third party options and the 16-80mm discounted in kits. It's too bad they don't offer this lens discounted in a kit with the X-T5, X-H2, and the X-H2S. I would be a much better option for these cameras.
