Great watch
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I had the Samsung galaxy frontier since 2018. It was a great watch at the time. But I wanted to upgrade my fitness watch that was just a fitness watch and not something that will keep me connected with everything at all times. Plus the battery life wasn't great. I did my research for a new fitness watch for two months. I came across the vivoactive 4 and what caught my eye was 1. the battery life. States it can last 8 days but also depends what you have running and what you use it for. I can get 3 days which is a lot better then my last watch. 2. It has workouts you can do on the app and transfer to your watch. It's easy to navigate. The display probably isn't as clean as other fitness watches but I like it. The garmin connect IQ app where you download apps and watch faces isn't as clean and there aren't many watch faces but the garmin connect app that syncs to your watch to display your day is clean and easy to navigate. It is also comfortable to wear to bed. When doing workouts the vivoactive 4 is pretty good at counting reps but there are times you will have to edit the amount of reps you do since it will miss some reps. Overall still a good watch. If you just want a good fitness watch that tracks your daily workouts, steps, stairs, hydration and last a good amount of days then this is the watch to consider. It's not LTE but you don't need it.

Nice for me
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I switched from my iphone and apple watch to a android so I had to get another watch. I've had Garmins in the past and liked them. This one seems to track my HR better than my previous garmins, they used to be about 10% low all the time, for me. I like the Golf tracking, which I've used before on the S20 and S60, this is just as good. For working out I set it to Cardio, I don't want to spend time on my watch tracking reps and exercises the whole time. The cardio tracking is good enough for me. The sleep tracking sucks for someone who works nights and has a screwed up schedule. I've talked to garmin support about this before. It would be nice if there was a sleep widget to start it manually when I go to bed at either 8am on my work days or 10pm on my days off or 1pm on my in between days.

Moved on my Apple watch.
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5My Apple watch is 4yrs old at this point and has been wonderful. The battery has never been great and it tracked what I needed. Been looking at the Garmin’s for awhile now and I am really happy I made the switch. This tracks all the things I want/need and more. It is very comfortable and can be worn for any occasion really. There are personalized workouts you can setup through the Garmin app in addition to new watch faces. The battery life is amazing too. So far this thing has been great and I am not missing my Apple watch.

Great Tough Watch Series
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Garmin is the only watch that has been rugged enough to survive for any significant period of time on my wrist. Either the watch is damaged or the charging port connection dies on other watches. My wife bought this watch to replace an existing vivoactive HR which is still working after a couple of years and a new watch band. No crazy about the menus on this watch and getting to more info, does not seem that intuitive so far. Simple is better.

Good option to an Apple Watch
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. We are an Apple family, but my husband doesn't like the look of the Apple Watch. It was easy to pair with an Apple iPhone and seems to be working well thus far.
