A: Hi - Thanks for the excellent question! GE Telescopic Downdraft Systems are designed and approved for cooktops only. They can't be used with ranges because the blower system and ductwork takes up the space needed for the oven. We suggest using an overhead vent. Works well
Works great but was difficult to install. I had to redo the duct work in order for it to function.

Directions need revision
Installation directions need to be reviewed and changed to reflect reality . A note on page 12 refers the reader to page 3 if you need to change the blower direction. However, when you go to page 3, there is nothing there about changing the blower direction. I emailed GE about this and was directed to page 12....back to square 1!!!!

Downdraft
I can’t give a review because I had no space for it. So I had to instal a conventional range hood. I was sad, but when there is no space for it nothing can be done!
