Great Electric Range
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. Love the looks quality is top notch. Cook top heats up quick, love the selectable burner size. Both ovens heat up quick, both of plenty of room. Our last range had knobs for controlling heat settings making cleaning a pain, the smooth control panel on our new GE makes cleaning a press, easy to select temp, cook time. Only suggestion I have is to buy a cleaning kit solution, razor blade, glass top can be a pain to keep clean but a breeze with the correct tools.

Great electric double oven range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this range because of the double oven, which we have had in the past and find essential. Good looking too. Great build quality, good looks, very very fast heating on the electric cooktop.

Disappointed and Disheartened Customer - Cary, NC
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So disappointed with GE and Best Buy. No one wants to take responsibility for an obviously defective product ( I spent 0ver $1900 total for the range and parts. Delivered 8/3/20. On 8/22/21, the entire digital display flashed and died. The burners don't work and the ovens still do, so far if I start them in the blind - make sure to manually start and enter the temperature and make sure to use cancel when through. So, appliance repair people have estimated $600 to replace entire digital panel (essentially the 'mother board'). We are senior citizens on a fixed income and just had to replace washer and dryer. I am beyond upset, have called GE multiple times, no help. They say out of warranty (basically two weeks after one year). I was so excited to what I THOUGHT was a nice stove after years of 'making do'. We used the stimulus money last year to purchase it since we basically cook at home and don't go out with the pandemic situation and my husband immune compromised. The very least GE could do is either come fix it or pro-rate and give me credit to purchase another stove. I am leery of spending $600 on a lemon that may 'cheat on me again'. I'd rather just go buy a basic stove at this point and be done with it. So disheartening. I'll never by another GE product or deal with Best Buy again (and I know we'll need a new refrigerator in a few years) if they don't make this right. Shame on them.

Wife LOVES this (as do I)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the Range my wife picked out, and she absolutely LOVES it! She enjoys cooking, and is quite good at it. Needless to say, I am benefiting from this purchase a LOT. She really enjoys the double oven. The controls on the oven are intuitive and easy to use. It looks modern and operates well. Very happy with this purchase and the installation from the Best Buy team.

Works Great and looks good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This range works well.and looks very nice in my kitchen. I love the multiple choices of burners and the power boil feature. My previous range had double ovens and I would never consider anything else. I use both ovens almost every time I cook a meal--even a small meal. I also really like the convection features on the lower oven. I roast vegetables often and the convection roast feature is fast and veggies are perfectly roasted. The cooktop is easy to clean and also looks nice. My only concern for this range is that the vents for the lower oven are on the top of the oven door and all the way across. If something spills on the range top and leaks over the edge or if you pull a dish out of the upper oven and happen to spill something, it will pour inside the lower oven door and show up on the inside of the glass door. My mom has a version of this same range and it has been a problem for her. I'm very careful about this and will even open the lower oven door as I'm removing a dish from upper oven if there is a possibility of spillage. That's the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. I have several GE appliances and so far my experience has been excellent with them.

Works well, but imperfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some positive points. The burners are easy to control and offer good temperature precision. We also like the expandable burner function. The oven function also works well, with good temperature control. Convection performance is also rather good with positive baking experience for cookies and brownies with some especially thick. The appearance is rather nice with simple and modern style. We have thus far had easy cleanup experience both cooktop and oven. The oven is especially nice since the elements are shielded leaving a smooth bottom surface. The not so great parts The lower oven door is rather low since there is no storage drawer. Only the lower oven offer convection function. Because the door is rather low, we tend to want to use the upper but thus give up convection. The oven does not offer smart controls via telephone. For this price, such a feature is expected. While the cooktop is edge to edge, it does not extend beyond the width as in other ranges thus crumbs still gather at the edges but now instead of being on the seam of the cook top and the ranges metal frame they are trapped between the edge of the glass and the countertop.

Q: QuestionMy parents are older have hard time bending over is the bottom oven hard to get to? If you open the door all the way is it on the floor?
Asked by Brian.
- A:Answer The bottom door is nearly on the floor when completely open and would present a challenge for someone with limited mobility. However, I have found that I use the upper oven almost exclusively, and it allows bend-free access (I'm 5'4", taller people might have a different experience). It's more roomy than you might expect; you won't be roasting a family-sized turkey in the space, but game hens are no problem. Additionally, the smaller oven preheats very quickly, and I think it's more energy efficient, too.

Q: QuestionWhat material is the stovetop made of? Does it scratch easily? Will it hold up with years of use?
Asked by EConcepcion.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - Profile Series 6.6 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Double Oven Electric Convection Range
- A:Answer Hi EConcepcion - Thanks for considering GE Profile Model PB960SJSS! Our glass cooktops are made of a durable, scratch-resistant glass ceramic material. They are not scratch proof, so it is important to use the proper cookware and follow proper cleaning procedures. Porcelain coated cast iron cookware can be used on the glass cooktop as long as the cookware is covered completely with porcelain enamel. Caution is recommended when using cast iron cookware that is not completely covered with smooth porcelain enamel, as it may scratch the glass ceramic cooktop. Q: QuestionIs this energy star rated?
Asked by Sugarplum.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - Profile Series 6.6 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Double Oven Electric Convection Range
- A:Answer Hi Sugarplum - Electric Ranges, including model PB960SJSS, are not Energy Star Rated. However, Double Oven Electric Ranges save time and up to 25% energy use by preparing meals in the upper oven, which pre-heats faster and more efficiently than the lower oven. Also, there is no Energy Star label for residential ovens or microwave ovens at this time. For appliances with the Energy Star label, visit the Energy Star web site: Energy Star Appliances: https://www.energystar.gov/products/appliances - Also, visit GE ENERGY EFFICIENT PRODUCTS: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/energy-star-appliances/ - Check out matching GE Profile™ 2.1 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven PVM9005SJSS. 400CFM venting system removes smoke, steam and odors. Also, they both offer CHEF CONNECT- Three options with a single touch.
